Checking in this morning. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I am home stuck in the snow. My father is still in the ICU. He will have a pacemaker today and then will have surgery when he is stable. I am enjoying all the pictures. Bella and Brooklyn are so cute.
You are on our minds and in our hearts. Stay warm and safe inside your house. Maybe you can get to the hospital tomorrow if they get the roads clear. It is a mess out there.
I love it! Now I HAVE to get there for my 40th b-day this year!
Jill, I love the video of the CM from the parade! What's up with the idiot trying to get to Donald? Glad Donald put him in his place!
He got carried away with his enthusiasm.
Any birthday spent in Disney World is special.
momof2TNboys I will pray for your Dad this morning, I hope his condition improves.
On a personal note can you say a little prayer for my Gramma and family, my uncle passed away yesterday suddenly.
I never got the chance to know him as he lived across the country.
I feel so sad for my Gramma to loose a child for a second time.
I can't imagine how she must feel.
Stay warm and safe my Southern friends.
No snow day for me... I'm working a 13 hr day today.
It would take a very bad snow/ice storm for me to get the day off.
I do not wish for that at all!
Enjoy the day with your families and maybe a little Disney magic will touch you...
Prayers for you and your family. I saw my grandmother cry only one time in my life, and that is when her baby, my father, died just a couple of months after turning 50. I will never forget how it felt to see her so sad.
Lots of work means you can sock away some Disney money, right?

That is the way I have to keep thinking every time work gets crazy or I don't feel like doing the after-school tutoring.
I loved all of the videos!
The one of the cast member dancing down Main Street was great! I love when CMs get into it and have a blast!
Brooklynn is becoming a pro at pin trading. She knew exactly which one she wanted!
PS; When are yall's July dates again?
I love having the video feature on my regular camera.
We'll be there before/about lunchtime on Saturday, the 2nd, and we'll leave the evening of the 7th. We were going to stay until the 9th, but we have to get back for a wedding.
Can't believe that guy was trying to get to Donald! Poor Donald! That must be a bit unnerving to see coming at you!
Love the video of the lion roaring! I really hope he decides to perform for us someday. LOL!
Enjoy your snow days! I can't believe how much came down last night! I really will be surprised if we are back in school before Wednesday. As long as the power stays on, I will be fine with that.
Disney World just brings out the kid in all of us, and the man-child just didn't think when he ran out to high five Donald.
It was very cool to hear the lion roar.
All of this snow will slush a little today and then refreeze tonight. I don't see us going until Wednesday, either. If we use tomorrow, we will then
owe a half-day. That's not bad, but then I'll be ready to be done with any more snow days.
Are you sure you guys live south of us? Lots of snow days.
Hope you all enjoy the snow!
Jill's house looks like Canada today. Mine looks more normal -about three inches.
Stay safe & warm, all you snow-bound folks!! Perfect day to be on the Dis!
I've done some dishes, eaten some spaghetti made out two Science tests, and watched several episodes of House Hunters. And Dised, of course.
Oh I forgot; Jill & MeMom, my brother & sister and I hammered our July trip
plans. We are staying in a townhome off property this time, but we are for sure pumped to meet you at OHana for the 4th!! Can't wait!
Sometime before July, I will forward you a copy of the reservation. That way, if they are being strict about people going over to Poly, you'll have proof of your ADR.
Snow day here too!
Loved the CM dancing. It so looked like the CM closer to the camera was just trying to keep but had no idea what was going on !
The lion roaring- It is amazing what they have the animiatronic lions do.
Well my payroll is done so I don't have anything pressing the rest of the day.
My DH went to work. Worse yet, he took DS truck so I hope nothing happens to it.
Looking forward to having tomorrow off too!
I hope your husband gets to and from work safely.
Have you done chores, watched House Hunters, and Dised?
Too funny about the game. I saw that on the cruise when a bunch of Bears fans were flipping out because the game wasn't available on the ship and they tried to get the bartender in trouble for not changing the channel.
Sports fans can get pretty wild when it comes to supporting their teams.

I bet there was a lot of anxiety in that group, to put it mildly.
Wow...it took me 2 hours to get caught up but I am!!! I envy all of you who live in the south!!! We have well over 26 inches here in SOUTHERN Michigan and all of our schools are in session...but that is the pleasure of living close to Lake Michigan!
We are official now for our July trip with my whole family and for Abigail's first trip to WDW!! Our dates are July 6-11 and we are most likely staying at POP...a first for everyone in the group!!! Have a safe day down there and stay warm!!!
Maybe we will cross paths at Pop as we go out and you go in.
You guys would probably look at our snows and think we're silly for being out of school.
I knew there was a rule like that somewhere! Looks like we could be thinking about the last weekend of Sept/first weekend of October.
off to catch up on the other 8 pages I have missed...
OMG!! I just noticed that we may get to finally meet! This is the weekend that we are looking at for our Fall trip!! There have been about 2 or 3 trips now that I have missed your family by about a day or two. I'm so excited!!
We'll be in Magic Kingdom on Saturday, the 1st, if you haven't made your agenda yet.
Snow day here too! I was pretty pleased when I heard they closed, I stayed up waaay to late last night.
You can most likely stay up late again tonight.
I've spent the morning catching up on your thread. I love reading about your families and trips to Disney. There is so much love and joy in each and every story and photo. After our trip, I was caught up in hte holiday chaos and post Disney blues. I am finally over both to have enough time to enjoy and dream again.
It sounds like you have several wonderful trips coming up. I hope your snow days are awesome! We've got the potential for one tomorrow!
We are glad you enjoy the reports. I hope one day our paths will cross on a Disney trip and you will be
in our report.
I hope Aileen's problems can get solved so she will not be so miserable. I feel so badly for her.
Wow, I can't believe how much snow the south is getting!
I hope everyone's enjoying their snow day.
I'm at school and a bunch of us are hoping it snows enough tomorrow night so schools will be closed on Wednesday. It's not very likely. We're only supposed to get 4-8 inches
4-8 inches is big stuff for us. This is the second year that we have gotten a pretty good bit of snow, though.
Great videos Jill!!
I also cannot believe that guy that went up to Donald!!
I loved that video of the CM dancing!! I love it when they get into it like that.
The lion roaring was great. I don't even get them standing up let alone roaring!!
Everyone enjoy your snow days. We are supposed to get it here in NH on Wed. But if it is only 7 or so inches that is not a lot for us. They get the plows & salt trucks out & we are on the roads in no time.
I think some of those southern states needs to start investing in some plow trucks.
Our interstates and very main roads will be the only things to be cleared. We don't have the equipment here to do any more.
That CM was very entertaining. I hope she really does like her job that much. I wish I could be as enthusiastic about mine, but without the dancing, obviously.
My DH is an Auburn Grad. so far we have cable(ESPN), but if the power goes out he said he will pull the car out into the driveway, bundle up and listen to the game on XM radio. He had to listen to Rick and Bubba this morning. They were talking to people waiting on the three chartered planes trying to leave from Birmingham for the game.
I hope they all get to their game. You know that when they made plans, they never considered something like this happening.
I'm on the email list for the website for the Hotel Blvd. hotels and they offer discounts through email periodically. I'm not sure what the website is now though. You should check out the teacher discounts at the Swan and Dolphin sometime. Some of the teachers here have gotten pretty good deals there. The Hilton at DTD is the closest to the Marketplace. Join their honors program and you'll get email offers from them. Same with the Holiday Inn. There are lots of options - I'm with you though Disney property is the ideal spot. It's just not the same anywhere else!
I will check into some of that. It's a last resort, but it will be better than not going!
Me and my sweet girls all bundled up
Makes me smile.
He was just a giant huge snowball. The snow had stuck to his fur and formed giant ice balls on all four paws and his stomach. He couldn't even walk. So into a warm bath he went to melt all the snow off.
Poor Ben. He's such a good boy. I bet he loved the warm bath.
What fun snow day pics!! Poor Ben - that's so funny, but I bet the poor guy was so cold!! At least he got a warn bath out of the ordeal.
Don't you know that felt good. That picture is pretty funny.
