Week Ending 8/14
8/8 I knew painting on that ladder was evil. Woke up this morning with severe back pain. I don't have time for this!! Did the weekly food shopping and then went back to the garage to do more sorting. I placed 2 huge boxes of free items out near the street. For several hours no one stopped. Then about 5 p.m. I looked out and everything was gone including the boxes! It's amazing how you can work through even the worse pain when there is something you really want to do. I am Motivated by Mickey!
8/9 Spent the day multi-tasking. I continued to clean out the garage and finally felt that there was enough room to bring the first few things down from the attic. Did that and sorted them into the keep, yard sale and free piles. I also did more of the dreaded painting to the house and some weeding out front.
A nice Diser offered me the contact information for their Real Estate Agent (Thanks Jennifer!) and I emailed her to get it.
My DH continues to work on the bathroom wall that needs the tile replaced. It should be finished this week.
8/10 Received the Real Estate Agent information from Jennifer and will be giving him a call today! Checked flights to and from Orlando for mid September. Wow, what deals! Delta has a r/t flight for $115 and Jet Blue is only $100.
8/11 & 8/12
The past two days have been a blur of gardening activity. I'm a backyard type of person and the back of my house is really pretty. The front, however, was a mess. Seeing how the front will be the first thing a buyer sees, I decided to fix it up. Two days later, I've trimmed the bushes, gotten all the weeds out and planted a bunch of flowers. Too bad this had to be done with the humidity being sky high. I've found muscles in my arms and hands that I didn't know existed. My son removed a bunch of old tree stumps for me as well. The wall in the bathroom that we've been fixing is nearly done.
Heard from the Realtor in Clermont. After speaking with him on the phone, he emailed me numerous pictures and descriptions of houses in the area that are available.
8/13
It's a rainy day here which kept me inside finding things to do. When I wasn't cleaning, sorting or helping my DH finish up the bathroom repair, I was watching the weather for updates on Hurricane Charlie. Before long I realized it would be cutting a path directly across the area we have planned to move to. Said a prayer for all of those who would be facing this beast.
I also went through the latest batch of yard sale items that I had collected. Although today is a wash out and Sunday will be the day we get whatever is left of Charlie, Saturday is suppose to be wonderful.
8/14
This morning dawned bright and sunny as promised and I was putting things out for my sale around 7 a.m. After a very slow start, people started showing up around 10. It wasn't a blockbuster sale but I made a few dollars and acquired a lot more space in my garage. By 9 p.m. I was a zombie and off to bed I went. Ended up sleeping for 9 hours something I haven't done in a long time!
