My Mother is much worse than we thought.

Please be praying for her. They found out she has serious blockage in several arteries and since she is 87 she is high risk for by pass surgery.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. My mother who is 74 has gone through the open heart surgery 2 yrs ago. I think it was triple bypass. They took part of her arteries from her leg and cut part of the old ones from her heart. She is doing fine. She stayed at the hospital for 2 weeks. Then 4 months later, they found out that one of her artery in her neck is blocked 70%, so they cleaned up that clogged artery too. She is doing fine.

With all the new state of the art technologies and excellent doctors out there, she will be fine. Try to think positive. Keep your faith that she will do fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you and especially for your mother. Just tell her that she will be fine and be strong for her. She needs all the support she can get from you and the rest of the family.

Thank you. We talked to the surgeon today and he was encouraging, so we are feeling a little better, but she IS 87. They are waiting for her heart to strengthen from the attack and to get rid of all the Plavex in her blood. They are planning on doing the operation Thursday or Friday.
