My Mom really needs your prayers

She is having the first of two knee replacements tomorrow at 6:30 in the morning.

If you all could please keep her in your prayers as she will have to be away from my dad (who has cancer) for about 2 weeks - we have decided it is better for him not to go to the hospital so he is not exposed to anything. I know she is more worried about him than herself but it's also taking a huge toll on her. She gets deathly ill from the anesthesia (sp?) and that is also on her mind.

Please, say a pray for her.

My prayers are with your mom for a successful surgery and for peace. Isn't there something they can give her to reduce the nausea from anesthesia? My dd gets sick from it and I know they gave her something to help.

Thanks, guys. Yes, they are giving her a patch for behind her ear and hopefully that will take care of it. When she had her back surgery in 2000 she was sick for 4 days after - even if she turned over in bed she's be nauseaus (sp?). Finally her doc gave her a "one time" shot and that did it.

Knee replacements are definitely routine now a days - thank you for your prayers. Our family really just needs a break. It seems we go from one thing to another. I think I need to hit the beach with a margarita and just get away!

My MIL just had double total knee replacement surgery 3 months ago she is 77 years old and is doing great. We can't believe how good she is walking today. Like nothing ever happened.
