I'm so sorry for your loss. I only read your post and not the rest BUT I know the rule is 50 yrs old BUT at 35 I had some issues for which they did a colonoscopy and found a "pre cancerous" pollyp. (sp) My doctor was amazed and couldn't believe it at my age. My grandfather had a particular form of colon cancer which made me more prone to it. My doctor now requires it every 3 yrs infact I had one last week which was good (thank goodness) but he is requesting I have one again next year for safety purposes. Please, if it runs in your family don't wait till you are 50. Again I'm so sorry for your loss. Kim
