I'm so sorry for your loss. I can relate also as I lost my mom 18 years ago. I was young but still remember the loss like it was yesterday. Sending prayers and PD to you and your dad.
My heart goes out to you and I am so,so sorry for your loss. You are so blessed to have had such a good relationship with your mother.
Hopefully someone out there that has been putting off going to the doctor will be encouraged to go. I was only 39 when diagnosed with colon polyps and have had regular colonoscopies ever since. The test is not bad at all and is well worth having.
Again, my deepest sympathy to you and your Dad.

You and your Father have my deepest symphony. I can relate to your pain as I lost my soul mate to Breast Cancer several years back. Hang on to the many memories of her and care for your Father as I can tell you how lost he feels now. My two DDs helped me to realize that they and my Grandchildren needed me and that was important for me to know back then.
Also know her suffering has come to an end and she is a much better place. I pray you will continue to peach on the danger of Cancer as I carried on a Crusade for many yearsto learn self exam after losing my Wife.
I also pray for strength and peace for you and your Father. PD & {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
I usually lurk on these boards but I wanted you to know how truly sorry I am for your loss. My mother died in 1999 from breast cancer and I do not know how I would have made it without the support of the hospice team who tended her. Lots of prayers and pixie dust on its way to you, your dad and your mom.
Oh my goodness, Magix, I'm so sorry. Your post was, indeed, eloquent. Your mom will live on through you. God bless you and your dad. Take care of yourselves. I hope that your beautiful memories will bring you some comfort and strength in the difficult days to come. {{{hugs}}}
Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady. I hope your memories of her help you through this very sad time. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your dad.
So sorry about your mom, prayers are with you and your dad. It's the hardest thing when a parent dies. My mom died 7 years ago of pancreatic cancer. It was a horrible last 24hrs with her. She was in so much pain. No matter how much you think your prepared and how much they are suffering, and you ask the Lord to take them. It still isnt easy when the time comes.
I miss my Mom very much to this day. There are so may times I wish I could sit and talk with her.
It gets easier, as they say time heals.
Again, I am sorry about your Mom. You will be in my prayers..
