Jenn!
I was just catching up on your report. Your fam bam is so cute:hug:
I can't wait to read the rest of your trip & food reviews!!! DxDP all the way!!!

I'm not much of a breakfast person, but I always read about Kona's stuffed french toast:worship: sounds heavenly!

I think I will post more of my mom & I throughout the trip report. I wish I had more. Something that I really wish I took more pictures with my mom :guilty: there is a huge gap of no pictures because everything was disposable and we just never took pictures.
but the ones I do have, I cherish:hug:

Thanks for the congrats on my grades! I never feel like they are good enough. :headache: me = professor =:snooty:

anyway, it's good to have you Jenn! I will be hoppin on over to your report!:cheer2:

melmar, I love your icon. I loved Tangled.

I haven't gone to Via yet. My mom really really really wanted to go. But should I cancel Hacienda and do Via for dinner? I just can't give up Coral Reef, can't. I love it far too much.

What do you order at Via Napoli?

I'm also so sorry to hear about your mother.

We are from the same neck of the woods! And I LOVE Michigan! I have family there (Niles) and my inlaws have a cottage in Frankfort.

We were supposed to go to Kona for breakfast but we had MNSSHP the night before so we ended up canceling our Kona ADR to sleep in.

I'm thinking we are going to go back next year. If we do I'm making a mental list of our must do ADRs if we get the regular dining plan. Kona for breakfast, Le Cellier for lunch maybe, 'Ohana for dinner for sure, maybe Via Napoli.

My favorite meals from last trip were Boma for dinner and WPE for lunch, both were so yummy!

Welcome to my PTR!
I am going to school is Naperville! I went to Tinley Park High School, so I'm familiar with Frankfort (unless you meant there is a Frankfort in MI, then I am clueless :rotfl: )
I'm really starting to want to add a breakfast in my ADR's. My two favorite are 1900 & Cape May Cafe.

wah! so many choices

45 days left!!!!

Balance is all paid off! :cool1::woohoo::yay::dance3::dance3::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::dance3::dance3:

I have five weeks left of my fall term :thumbsup2
only a few projects & papers to do before I am
in my most magical place, ever.

But of course, in between work and school, I will be Disboarding it up and day dreaming of my trip:cloud9:

So, as I have mentioned to a few of you,
where would you eat? any replacements?
I kind of want to do a character breakfast. Is that bad or immature of me? I know I will wait to see at least a few characters. I love taking pictures, and sometimes of myself. But my favorite was with my mom

me and mom by alwaysellen, on Flickr

any other suggestions for my trip?
I heard that there is a new Dooney & Bourke line!!!!
I have the princess wristlet for last year. I used it so much, the wristlet part nearly fell off of the actual purse part. (I don't really know the correct terminology for purses:rotfl: )

I also have to go shopping for outfits for my vacation. I try to make sure I wear really nice outfits for photos. I don't really like wearing Disney shirts throughout the entire trip, anyway. Plus, I always get ears:goodvibes

alright, off to work for tonight! working a back to back:surfweb::scared1:

I hope the weekend isn't too painful at the hotel. No more crazy wedding parties or conventions, please.

:goodvibes

Thanks! I love Tangled too. I didn't think I would...I was so glad I watched it! It is one of my favorites now.

Via Napoli was really good. We got a pizza...margharita with onions, and the zeppoles for dessert! Wow! And, you know, there are lots of cute waiters too!

I think I mentioned earlier how much I loved Via Napoli! def worth a try! as for character breakfast, I love Akershus and Tuskerhouse!

Beautiful picture of you and your mum!

awe, thanks so much! and I feel you on the pictures thing! I have an OBSCENE amount of pictures of my kids.. although less of Kayla than I would like from when she was a baby baby.. didn't have a digital cam til a couple years later :/

Keep up with the awesome grades! you seem super focused!

I have to agree about Via Napoli! I don't think we'll be doing another trip without going there!

we loved it so much we canceled our last day adr and booked it again! love love love!

I finally made it over here to your PTR! I'm definately in!!

So sorry about your Mom. I love how you put pics of you & her throughout your PTR! I'd love to see more! You seem to have had a really good mom/daughter relationship, one that I hope me & my DD will always have!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your plans, and how your solo trip turns out!

I'm also not much of a breakfast eater (in fact, I only eat a real breakfast at Disney), but the stuffed french toast is VERY good. The strawberry stuff they serve it with at Kona makes it even better!

Sounds like you're doing great in school. I wish I had the wherewithal to stick with it back.. um, several... years ago. But, it is what it is! Keep truckin' along

Second to the feeling of being paid off, being at that 45 day mark is great! (And gets better each and every day!)

I'll have to rescan and see about the dining suggestions, but Via Napoli is certainly a good one!

Love the pictures of you and Mom. You can see how close you two were just from what images you do have.

As far as the other suggestions? Being male, I have 0 input :p

Have a good weekend, and don't let the stupid guests bring you down!

Ohhhh! I might just have to go just for the waiters :rotfl: I'm still up in the air for my EPCOT dinner, now. Hmmmphm

I haven't been to either for breakfast! I am also thinking about doing a breakfast. I am quite the early bird at Disney, so it may be worth doing.
And thank you for the compliment:goodvibes
I a am a camera diva. When my dad and I were in MI, a group of ladies asked me to take pictures for them. So of course, I take like ten! and all you can hear is my dad moaning and groaning and I just said, what?! I am my mother's daughter! and he said, yep, that you are. I think that I am a nice reminder for my dad of my mother. He lives at home with the dogs and doesn't have much of a social life outside of work. I am very happy that my dad and I are becoming close. I feel if my mom thought it was dangerous or wrong of me should would make it known. Plus, this is the way she raised me. Anyway, yes I love taking pictures:goodvibes
Can't wait to pop on by your TR!

Welcome!
I appreciate it, and I will be trying to upload more pictures as the days pass.
I hope that all daughters could have the relationship with their mothers the way I did. I consider myself very lucky, which at times I don't because of everything. But I believe my mom and I did more together in 21 years than most DM and DD do in a lifetime.
I plan on switching things up! ADRs fall victim to my never ending changing hahaha
glad you are here for the ride!!!:cool1:

Thank you for saying you can see how close we were. My mom always drew my head closer to her chest or held my hand in pictures.
I am trying to figure out where for dinner I should enjoy at EPCOT. Lunch is already taken and saved for CR! I love, love, love the chocolate mousee:love:

I appreciate the voice of encouragement with my grades. Liberal Arts schools are tough. Smaller and more intimate was my thing, now it's just frustration with the expectations.
I am glad you are following me through this planning!:goodvibes

a quick good morning!:goodvibes

I have work this morning, then running errands with my roommate and then off to dinner with my dad.

I finished my Fall portfolio for my writing internship for my school's magazine. Let me tell you, article layouts are insanely time consuming. Not good when you are up until 2 am and up at 6.

So, I would like every ones' opinions on dining
My ADRs are on page 2 of my thread
or, if you would like, you can just suggest your favorites!

Such a dilemma on the DxDP!
also, favorite snacks?

I hope everyone has a good day!
I'll leave you with my favorite picture of my mom

This is my mom at the crystal palace our last trip. This is the picture I used for her prayer card. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen:littleangel:

I hope you all have extra pixie dust to start off the weekend:goodvibes

It's nice to see the pics of your Mom!

We are a breakfast family, and we've done character bfasts at Crystal Palace, CRT and Akershus; and lots of QS places, too. The muffins at Starring Rolls in HS were very good! I don't thint it's immature of you to want to go. As the song goes, "If it makes you happy...." :goodvibes

The clearance section at Disneystore online has a couple of Dooney & Burkes, if you're interested. A girl can never have too many bags,... or shoes,... or trips to Disney!!

Have a great weekend! :yay:

Thanks prisjoyce!
Thanks for understanding the things that make me happy :goodvibes I am always checking out the clearance part of the disney store online and in the mall. I can't wait to see what holiday goodies they have down there! I know I want to get a few things that will remind me of my mom. I wear a necklace she gave me, and I am thinking about getting a charmed engraved with something, but I don't know what.

and I totally agree about the never having enough of disney!

I hope you have a great weekend, too!:goodvibes

Good morning!!

I am up for work, again. This weekend we have 15 weddings at our hotel.
:scared1:

So work should fly by, especially since I am working with one of my favorite co-workers who doesn't mind hearing about my plans.

I wanted to share one of the goofy pictures of me and my mom from our last trip

100_5838 by alwaysellen, on Flickr

:rotfl: we were nutty

I had dinner with my dad last night and I asked him what his favorite restaurants were and if he had a place he wanted to eat but hasn't gotten a chance to go. He said he wanted to go to the Brown Derby.
He hasn't been since 2001 when EPCOT had the Millennium Village, which was super cool by the way!
During dinner I asked my dad if it made him mad when I talk about my mom and he said no, so I asked him if it made him sad and he said yes.
So I looked at him and and I asked him, "Dad, do you ever cry about mom?"

he just looked down and said "yes"
So I said, "Dad, I love you"
and he looked up and said he loved me, too.

:sad1:
With time I am realizing how my dad is grieving. I cannot begin to explain or understand why I am so thankful that we are building a relationship,
but I am. I would like to think my mom would be, too.

He said he would drive me to and from the airport, which is nice but I said it would have been nicer if he came down for one day with me:goodvibes

So, we will see about that summer time trip:rotfl:

so off I go to work! I think I need a Disney movie soon!

have a great day!

Joining in on your PTR. I'm so sorry about your mom. What a wonderful relationship you two had.

Your trip looks wonderful and i'm sure your mom would be so proud of you. :goodvibes

Welcome to my PTR!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad that you are joining me in my planning
I hope you're having a great weekend!

Good morning!

I had to stop watching TS3 because it was just too sad.
I want to watch Tangled. I feel like that is the least sad movie, for the most part. A lot of them hit my sensitive spot because of losing my mom.
Never will I watch Bambi!

So I have been thinking about canceling one of my signature restaurants to include another dinner and a character breakfast. Should I cancel Artist Point, Yachtsman or Narcoossee's?

I think I would replace the dinner with Kona Cafe and add a breakfast, maybe 1900 park fare or Cape May. Or Tusker house. any suggestions?

Also, I added the celebration of my mom's life to my resort reservation, so I want to add that to each of my dining reservations.

I hope you all have a great day:goodvibes
