My maxpass experience

i went this weekend. After getting maxpass on my annual pass (which was an adventure in itself, since my annual pass was created incorrectly when I first got it, and the only way they could give me maxpass was to give me a $45 renewal price instead of the normal $75, which worked out for me), i was able to ride everything pretty easily. It was crowded, but not too bad, but a bit too hot for my tastes. I do wish maxpass was included with my signature, but oh well.

There were a lot of people holding up the fast pass return lines, complaining or just not understanding how things work. I am glad they had at least two scanners going. Space mountain and RSR had the worst return lines for me.

Btmrr was down on Sunday after I got the fastpass, and my maxpass for it was converted to a maxpass that could be used on "any" other maxpass ride. I put "any" in quotes, because even though the cm at btmrr pretty clearly said "any" to me, when I went to space mountain instead, the maxpass wouldn't work, and the cm at space mountain told me the other cm was wrong, apparently sm is excluded. However he did some magic on his handheld device and converted the maxpass to one that would work on space mountain and I was able to use it. He was nice enough about it.

Also, we couldn't ride the reopened Disneyland railroad. Saturday we didn't have time when we saw the lines, and on Sunday afternoon it was shut down. I tried 3 times in about 2 hours but it was still down, so we went home.

Fantastic was awesome, best show at Disneyland, I like how it is both like WOC and live action. We got the river belle fastpass, show was pretty packed.

Yeah Space Mountain is not on the list of rides listed on the "multiple experience" fastpasses. I didn't realize that either until my son and I went to use it BUT it was late at night and the CM let us go anyway. He put regular fast passes on it for us and we went right in. :)

The same thing happened to us. Matterhorn went down during our FP window. They guy at the entrance told me the maxpass would be converted and we could use it anywhere. He specifically said anywhere. However, later when we tried to use it on Space Mountain, it wouldn't work and unlike the 2 previous posters, we were not let on anyway. Bummer.

I used Maxpass for the first time today. Just FYI, if your fastpass is converted to a multi experience pass, you can click on it and it will tell you which rides it is good for. Goofy's went down while I had a fastpass for it, so they made it a multi experience pass and it clearly excluded GOTG and RSR.

I saw that briefly, but it just looked like a list of the fastpass rides, so I didn't specifically look for sm, and the cm did say any. I think the sm cm was trying to show me that, but I was on the redeem screen which doesn't list the rides, it list the rides on the previous screen. On the redeem screen you can't scroll down, but the previous screen gives a description plus the applicable rides...

I forgot to mention, that I also have the Halloween tickets on my phone, and EACH time I went to choose a new maxpass, I had to un select the Halloween tickets. More annoying than anything. I didn't see any way to "save" the specific tickets to use a maxpass for, but maybe I missed that, if not, they should add that.

It seems like they would want to limit you to choosing tickets that had actually been scanned into the parks that day! Maybe in a future app update they'll figure that out. That does sound annoying.
