my magic+ box? with jump drive in it?

Wondering if anyone else got this incredible themed box, with a mickey head shaped usb jump drive?
On the jump drive was a link to an online video of an incredible themed message explaining magic bands and the website

The box had the usb drive plus a booklet describing fastpass plus.

Is this something new they are doing for people on upcoming trips.

Then in the back is a magnet with the dates I can start selecting fast pass plus experiences?

I just received mine today as well. I was so excited when I opened it. I was just about to write a post asking the same thing. You beat me to it. I am also confused if this means we will be receiving magic bands once we check in.

It is a promotional material for MDE and MM+. The thumb drive opens to MDE and the Edna Mode video about how to use MDE, make FP+ reservations, and order your magic bands.

You should still get your magic bands in the mail so long as you customize and order them on MDE before your closing date. If you don't customize and order you just get the standard gray at resort check in.

I've gotten 3 of them so far. The booklet that comes with it is customized a little for the resort you are staying at.

I got two boxes two days apart. Is it still 60 days out to reserve for the FP +? We went in November and that's what it was then.

We got our flash drive/booklet about 75 days before our trip. DH is psyched to get a 4G flash drive out of it. We finally watched the messages yesterday--it lights up like the Magic Band machines--very cool!

I assume that they're past the testing phase now if they're mailing out this kind of stuff. We just got to customize Magic Bands when we went in October.

I booked my march trip 7 months in advance and I just got the drives this week. I think you will get them but it might just be too soon for yours yet.

Great marketing idea!! I didn't know it was coming, waited to open box with the kids and the squeals when we put it in and the mickey shape lit up green were priceless! It got us all in the mood to go and the kids were begging to go sooner than we have booked next. I then spent the next hour on the website planning and considering another trip. Truly brilliant marketing.

We received a box with the flash drive in it a couple days ago. Our trip isn't until March 23rd so this is clearly meant to give us advance notice for the Magic Bands. We have until Feb 20th to customize our Magic Bands so I don't expect to receive them until after that date. I believe these videos are also available on My Disney Experience web site.

I appreciate receiving this as I'll be able to take it with me at Christmas to show to my brother and his family who are coming with us next March. I'm the Disney geek in the family and it helps to have collateral to educate others.

Count us in! I thought it was our MBs and was so excited when it was the Mickey head drive. Yay!! Trip is 4/14, when should we expect MBs. We are moving 1/30.
