For the first 12 years of our membership, we could never get the wait list to work for us. Now, all of a sudden, over the last 6 months or so, 3, count 'em, 3 different wait lists have come through! And they have all been short term, the latest one coming in almost immediatley for a short term { 1 and a half weeks out} Has my luck changed, or are there less folks going to WDW? Just wondering. Also, I guess the thing that concerns me is that the list came through for the BCV, and a short time ago, folks on this board were doing a lot of complaining about the BCV. Does anyone know if these past problems are still going on over there, or have they ironed them out finally?

Excellent - must be the pixie dust :jester:

We have stayed at BCV twice and have not experienced any of the reported problems and in fact are staying there again

Congratulations

thanks

I wonder if maybe the systems changed?

Used to be that we believed the system would batch process cancellations once a day and then hit the waitlist. But if you called, it seemed you could occationally get something "pulled" from the cancellation queue and therefore "bump" yourself up in the waitlist. If they've changed the system, you'd have more luck sitting on the waitlist and waiting your turn and the "call and see" recommendation wouldn't work any longer (unless you were truly at the top of the waitlist queue and a cancellation had arrived).

I don't think it's any lack of people going to WDW. You are just hitting it right. I think a lot of people book right at 11 months -- their plans stay firm for a few months and then things begin to shift right up until the check-in dates.
