My little girl is going to be nameless!

My DD's name is Reese Hannah. Reese was the only girls name DH and I could agree on. We picked Hannah because we wanted a really girly middle name since Reese could be either a boy or girl. If we have another girl oneday I have several names I like: Riley, Isabelle, Avery, Reagan, Ainsly.

In my extended family we have:
Camdyn Eloise
Elena Ludmila
Avery Elizabeth
Haley Grace
Courtney Rose

We have friends who have a daughter named Kendall. She's a cutie, but when they say it, it always sounds like "Ken doll" (Barbie's companion) to me. Perhaps it's just the way they pronounce it though.

I also like the names:
Julia
Nina
Daria
Audrey
Maya
Stella
Eva
Catherine

My name is Kimberly Anne.

Delia (MY MOST FAVORITE, Emily was almost Delia till grandaughter guilt won out)

YAY! This is my daughter's name!!!!!!

My daughters are Olivia Faith & Delia Hope. Olivia wasn't nearly as popular back then as it is now ;)! I get so many compliments on Delia. We thought about Cordelia, but decided against it. A few other favorites:

Lauren
Laura
Caroline
Abigail
Ellison
Madeline
Audrey
Amelia
Johanna

My niece's names are Taylor, Ava, Natalie & Jordan Good Luck......this was so much fun!!!!!!

Here are a few of my favorites (I might have repeated one or two):

Alana
Anastasia
Anya
Bridget
Daphne
Darcy
Delia
Gwendolyn
Lydia
Macy
Marcy
Marjorie
Matilda
Naomi

:)

OMG - I see ALL my cousin's kids' names on here, it's so funny.

If either of our boys had been a girl, she would have been Sarah Grace.

Lillian Claire (Lilly)

Amelia Grace (Mia)

Caroline Elizabeth (Cara)

Monica

I love discussing names. I was about to suggest Nymbler but I see it's already been suggested. My girls are Mallory and Tabitha. If my son was a boy, he'd probably have been Lucia (loo-see-a), don't like the loo-sha pronounciation on this one. Some other favorites:

Rilla
Jane
Sally
Diana
Liesel
Molly
Cecilia
Emmeline
Marceline (like Walt's birthplace, it was named after a girl)
Blythe
Martha
Adele
Esther
Maren

If you're both big Disney fans then I vote for:

Cinda (Like Cinderella)
Allison ("Alice in" Wonderland)
Sidney (Almost Disney, but 2 letters switched)

I do apologize if any of these have been mentioned...there were many pages by the time I saw this post. I have 3 daughters and one more on the way the end of July. My oldest daughters name is Soryn, my middle girls name is Baylee, and my youngest at the moments name is Chara pronounced Kara. :) The name we have picked out for our newest daughter to be is Aidyn. :)

ooohhh, I love the name game! You have two great boy names, Conner and Levi are just beautiful.

My two favorites (of course my girls!) are Kiley (but not Kylie!) and Jillian (Jillie for short)

Elyse and Aubrey are close runner ups.

and for something different that I like, Josie! so sweet!
Natalie is one of my sweetest friends!

I have 2 boys with, what some would call, "gender nuetral" names but they are Cameron and Emory (who often gets Avery!)

and I love Bella but would not be able to do it right now with all the Twilight hype! So we named my DD4's babydoll that instead! :rotfl:

and finally, I always have said my Mother did one thing perfectly, I love my name!
Kimberly Kay

have fun! and DO let us know!

PS can we play the boy name game soon? I really need to type Sawyer and Fletcher someplace useful! :rotfl:

I like Callie. (Pronounced Cal-ly)Not trendy or over-used. A cute girly name. We have a Callie Anne. It really rolls off the tongue. Good luck with picking a name.:goodvibes I swear picking a name that both of us could agree on was worse than going through the whole pregnancy:sad2:

My niece is Callie Dakota

My DD is Bradyn Elizabeth

I like Rebbecca Paige, Maggie Michelle, Julianne Nicole

I think that naming your child is the hardest task in the entire process. Choosing a name that fits them their entire life it intimidating to me. We went with traditional names, Rachel Alyse and Rebecca Anne. Our son is Ross Alexander

I do love
Molly Rebecca
Susan Claire
Ryan
Baylor

Good Luck!

We have 2 daughters:
Ava
Delainey

If we have another girl, it will be Lila or Bailey

I love different names and it reflects on my girls, but i wouldnt change it for the world, my girls are

Teirza Dawn and

Destiney Ciera....

and if they were a boy it was gonna be Drayton, but we adopted our son at 6 years old so kept his given name of Terrance.

Good luck deciding on a name...

I agree with PPs. Check Social Security's website for the most popluar names first. I didn't want our girls to be on of many. (6 Heather's in my graduating class of 200)

Our DD3 is Lainey Marie after my great grandmother. (Some how she got the nick name LuLu)

Our DD7months was much harder. We disagreed for months. Then we were talking to a lady at the library and she told us how she wanted to name her daughter Ashley and her MIL said no. And that was it. We got in the car and I told DH our baby is going to be Ashely May. It just stuck right with her.

Other I liked
Sara
Cara
Elisabeth
Lisa
Laura
Linnea

Naming a child is not easy. There are three things I suggest you put any possible name through.

1) saying whole name out loud many times over several days. You would not believe the number of first names that just do NOT go with certain last names.

2) Consider what the nick name will be. Samantha is a beautiful name, but be prepared for your daughter to be called Sam or Sammy. - - Abigail becomes Abby - - Cynthia becomes Cindy - - Tabitha becoming Tammy - - etc. Many parents have beliefs that their child will go by the full proper name they gave the child but often by the time the child is 2 years old a nick name has been put in place. Sometimes it happens later. I had one of my 4th grade students this year decide he didn't want to be Matthew anymore and now it was going to be Matt. I think he was tired of writng out the whole name. Kids who do not have the best handwriting, often want to have a shorter version they can write.

3) Oddly spelled names or unique names are often lovely, but there is a consequence. Your daughter her whole life will always have to spell her name for people. Traditional names and/or traditional spellings do have certain advantages.

4) a fourth thing to consider but it would not necessarily be a deciding factor for me, is the issues a kid with speach issues might have with the name. As a Special Education teacher I have had many kids that could not pronounce their own name or the name of one of their siblings. Even peers trying to pronounce the name.

I have a Gabrielle whom we call Ellie and an Elizabeth whom we call Bethie

I do love Sophia, it was my choice but my girls knew thier names before I did... I kept seeing the names everywhere. In fact Bethie picked her name no long into cell splitting. True. DH went skiing and took a picture of a ski run called Ellie.. well he didn't notice at the time, but the run under it was called Liz. We have the picture up in the hall.

I do wish you the best.

I am a veterinarian, so many names just seem to be dog names to me.

Today I saw, 3 Bellas and 2 Mias!! All were small cute dogs!!! The names Haley and Bailey are also super common dog (labs) names.

My DD is Claire, probably because it was the only name I hadn't seen on a dog's chart!!!!

Sadly we often call her Claire-Bear, so watch for nicknames!!!
