My little girl is going to be nameless!

I just have to comment how beautiful and unique everyone's daughters are named. I work on a mom/baby unit of a small hospital that services a large Hispanic population. I hear a lot of lovely names, but they are generally geared towards that cultural group. It's nice to hear all these different names. I'm done having kids, but boy I'd have a hard time choosing a name after reading all these wonderful suggestions.

Although DH and I have no children yet, we have picked out several names that we like all ready.
Callie Ryann
Abigail (Abbie)
Ella Claire
Anna
Madison (Madi) Makinzie
Natalia (Lia or Talia) Claire
Isabella (Izzy or Belle) Claire
Clara Faith
Good luck in picking a name. I know when my cousin had her 2nd child and first girl, she was going to name her taylor, and after she had her she decided she didn't look like a taylor and named her jordan instead.

Love these...

Kurstyn
Harper

Have fun picking!

My only regret with my daughter's name is that I did not give her the middle name Elizabeth. When I mentioned it as a middle name, my DH acted like he hated it. Elizabeth was my grandmother's name; we went with Nicole instead. It had no meaning to us, but sounded good with DD's name. Fast forward to about a year after DD was born and DH claims he never said such a thing about Elizabeth. Argh!

Sorry if these are repeats.......

I knew a guy named Kendall (we're 37 now)...and have met two little girls (K & 1st grade) named Kendall (one spelled it Kendyl and I think the regular way).

My daughter is Rebecca.......I picked a name where she wouldn't be in a classroom full of like names.

Another name that is timeless...Olivia.

Good luck with whatever you decide..........my Becca wasn't named until the night before she was going to be born.

Do not worry you will find a name. When I gave birth to my first we had no girl's name picked out or even agreed upon. She was supposed to be a he:rotfl:
It took a couple of days but I cannot imagine my life without my Emily Ann. She will be 16 this year!!!!

There are some great names in this thread! I love short and sweet old-fashioned (but now again seemingly very popular!) names, like:

Ruby
Lucy
Pearl
Claire
Anna
Nora
Iris
Ivy

Of the names on your list, my favorite is Natalie, and as others have noted, I've also never met a Natalie who wasn't very sweet! Other people have also mentioned these options, but I wanted to also suggest Ainsley and Paisley, which seem like they may fit your style.

A great website that is lots of fun to play around with is Nymbler - you type in names you like, and then it generates names that it considers similar in style.

Good luck choosing a name, and try to have fun!

-Jen

This is fun!

My two girls are:
Megan Elizabeth
Holly Louise

Can you tell I like traditional names?

I also like;
Rosie / Rose
Abigail / Abby
Esme
Jessica
Laura

From the OPs list, I like Mia best, and as PP suggested, Chloe is nice.

I'm so happy to see my name garners positive reactions! Yes, OP you must name your baby girl Natalie ;)

I just played on the Nymbler site and it is really neat! Great suggestion for the OP to use. It's fun. Now I want to name more babies. Not have anymore, but just name other people's kids.

BTW: Just have to add that this message is my 3,000th post. :yay:

I don't think I saw this one mentioned yet, and its very Disney friendly!

Aurora

That was the name of one of my kids, Aurora Lorraine, she passed away shortly after birth but a beautiful name nonetheless!

My teacher mom told me about a girl in her class named Isley (pronounced
I-lee).

Best of luck to you and your decision!

I LOVED the name Camille (Cammy) but for some reason DH hated it. I also liked Natalie, but DH said it reminded him of the chubby girl on "Facts of Life." I tried to tell him that that show hasn't been on in what, 20 years! He couldn't get past it, although I think it's beautiful. I also love Emily, but we didn't want something so popular.

We both liked:
Samantha
Kierstin
Faith
Andrea

We ended up with Elise Anne and Erin Constance.

Aurora is a lovely name!

OT - reading your post made me want to mention my friend's baby Cerys who was born this morning. She is in intensive care with a heart problem and waiting for surgery. Lots of  for baby Cerys.

Sorry - back to names!

Penny
Charlotte
Kayla
Reese

(my little girl's name is Penny Lane, but our 2nd choice was Charlotte Joy)

Enjoy your little girl!! Congrats in advance!

Hey my middle name is Anne. Like the spelling! :yay:

We have 2 boys but girls names we've thrown around:

Elliot (Ellie as a child)
Violet
Alison (Ali as a child)
Lauren
Emmaline (Emma as a child)
Andry (Ann-dree)
Evelyn (Evie)

My nieces are:
Dara (Dare-a)
Gabrielle goes by Gabby
Kari (Car-ee) everyone calls her Carrie

Maybe it's because we have boys I always think 'what would it look like on a business card or monogram?' Would people be able to spit it out well? My maiden name was bad I never had a teacher/interviewer/caller/hostess pronounce it correctly, ever.

When we had our son we literally went through every name in our baby book and wrote down any that were a maybe. We took two names to the hospital and I knew when I saw him which one to use.

Girl names I like:
Claire
Cordelia
Emmaline
Amelia

I guess I like 'old fashioned' girls names.

There are 3 Rebecca's in dd8's class - and 2 Olivia's!

I like my name.. Katharine if you are into traditional.. and my DD is Alexandra..

My neighbor might kill me, but her very personality filled daughter has a name I never heard before, but it totally fits her... Kinsey! (Pronounced Kin-zie)

Most of the names are GREAT. I liked Kathleen, but it did not work with our last name.

As a parent who spends ALOT of time in the elementary school, please be mindful of what the kids will call your daughter! There is a little boy named Happy. :confused3

Also think of the initials, mine were DAB growing up (BAD backwards).

I love all the names being posted. I have a daughter named Amanda Joy. Amanda means love so I just had to put Joy with it. It was the only name my DH liked that I came up with. I have to say that she is now 23 years old and has been the perfect child her whole life. Not at all like her two brothers.LOL My one son named his daughter Roseanna Nicole. I agree with everyone else that said when you see her you will know her name.
