Just a couple days ago we were having a great vacation at DW...

Right now, my DS is in his Kindergarten classroom.

He was actually excited this morning. That shocked me. He was not looking forward to going.

He is in a before and after school program where he was in daycare. I really would have liked to take him on his first day, but I thought it was better to let him follow the schedule that he would be following everyday. So I dropped him off at the daycare this morning. I planned to stay around until the bus came, so I could see him off. But, wouldn't you know...he hugged and kissed me, and headed off to play with some toys while giving me a "thumbs up". I figured I better go ahead and leave then. (At least that way I got out of there with no tears..from him or me!)
I will be meeting him at the daycare when he gets off the bus today with my camera in hand!

I can't focus on anything today. Good thing I didn't have to go to work today! (I delayed my start date until tomorrow) I feel both happy and sad at the same time. We (DH, DS and me) went over to his schoool yesterday to meet his teacher. She seems like she will be a great teacher.

Sorry to be rambling on...But thanks for listening. It is just hard to believe my baby is in school now.

remember this day when he's in high school and won't get his butt outta bed in time! :)

Hope everything goes great for the first day of school. Let us know. My son will be in the kindergarten program at his daycare that starts next Tuesday and I can't wait because he is SO excited about it. He will have to repeat kindergarten in 05 as well because he is a November baby and misses the cutoff for public school.

It is so exciting for them, yet sad for us parents. Hang in there, wait till he comes home "Mom...guess what.." and tells time or reads, it will be awesome!! Yay!!!!

I remember DS's first day of kindergarten all too well, I think it was harder on me than it was on him. Actually his first 3 days of kindergarten were hard on me, I cried all three days and remember driving around the block a few times just to get a glimpse of him in the play yard.
