My LapBand journey...

stitches are almost all dissolved... and I'm eating solid foods.. though a lot less and chewing quite thoroughly!!!

I hadn't lost any weight this week - but I think its to be expected... I'm pretty sure my whole body was "empty" and at least a little dehydrated... I've gotten back to exercising a little, too!

it should be exciting to see changes in yourself...enjoy chewing food again - and make sure you have the doc's approval on that exercise!

Cheers, Deb

Well I was going to say how cute you are, but then I saw the hat thingy...LOL :rotfl:

Good luck on your journey...
Lisa

How are you feeling this week? How does it feel to be exercising again? Drop in and let us know how you're doing...

Cheers, Deb

it feels great to be exercising! I think I enjoyed a few too many liquid calories over the holidays... I'm holding steady at 265! I go for my first adjustment next friday, so we'll see how that goes!

And Castle Creations, whats wrong w/my hat? :-)

is this one better?

Congratulations on the courage to have the procedure and it looks like it is making a difference in your health. However, I'm curious, has it really made a difference in your appetite? And do you find appetite is a real, physical thing now rather than a boredom or emotional thing post-surgery?

Keep up your fantastic progress,
Laurie

Congrats on being at 265! It may not seem as much as you think it should be, but once you start getting fills, it will help a lot more!

Hey! You checked in-- glad to hear you're doing well. I hope your adjustment goes smoothly. Congrats on getting back to your exercising...

Just saw you're from NJ - waving - I'm over in Hunterdon County.

Keep us updated with your progress!

had my first fill on Friday... 4cc's

I am definitely getting full quickly now!!!!

I do find that my appetite in general seems to have gone down, now I have been told that the band may affect how your stomach produces grellin, the hormone that makes you hungry-- but I don't know that for certain...

I do find when I am super bored I do still want to eat, but I don't want to do it as much as I used to...

And I'm not sure how much of my mental change has come from the actual effects of the surgery, versus the whole "I got this surgery! I better make it work now!" attitude...

Be patient with yourself. I have had my band for 1 1/2 years and I am still getting my head wrapped around it. Your head will lag behind your body for a while, but you will get there eventually. Congrats on getting your fill! Keep on top of them, because they are a big part of controlling hunger.
