We are heartbroken. She started chemo today and we may be able to pick her up tomorrow. If she responds well we may have her for 7-10 months. We need your prayers.

Thanks so much for all of the support-NOT. I have come here twice and gotten little to no response. I've been a member since 2000 and have never belonged. I'll cry on my own and never ask for any thing here again.

JX3smom,

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty :grouphug: I know how awfull it is to lose a furbaby. I have too wonderfull kittys right now and I would be heart broken if I lost either one. All I can say I is I have you and the little one in my prayers.

jx3smom, I just now saw this thread.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitten. Our furbabies mean so much to us and when they get sick like this, it just breaks our hearts.

Sending lots of hugs, prayers and some pixie dust for you and your precious kitten. :grouphug:  :wizard:

Please keep us posted.

I hope I can see her tomorrow. She is so young and her sister is going crazy missing her. I didn't think that I would have to go through this again for a long time. I lost Mogwi one year ago yesterday. I pray she beats the odds and is with us for a few more years anyway.

I'm so sorry about the diagnosis! :grouphug: I can't even imagine what you are going through--must be so difficult. I also hope that the treatment works and that she pulls through and lives much longer than the vet is predicting. So sorry!

I know what you mean. I lost Tif, my sweet, beautiful long-haired black cat in May. Broke my heart. Then, two weeks ago, I found a little kitten that needed some TLC, food and attention from the vet. I took her in, had her tested her for diseases, got her some medicine for worms, and some antibiotics for a little viral infection. However, she didn't make it. :sad1:

We do what we can for these little angels and in turn, they bring us such joy. I hope you get to see your kitten tomorrow and I hope she's able to have many, many good days ahead. By the way, what's her name?

So sorry. That's a tough thing to have to go through. I hope your kitty gives you a lot more time than what is predicted. Good luck. :grouphug:

I'm sorry for not responding sooner. I hope your kitty responds well. Prayers and hugs to you in your rough time.

I just saw this thread. I am so sorry for your kitty. My westie had osteosarcoma and unfortunately treatment would not have been effective for her. We had her for 5 months after diagnosis (we were told she had 2 months but she was a stubborn terrier!) I hope things go well with the chemo and you have much more time with your beloved kitty. I hope you get to see her soon. Take care.

NO! I remember when you lost your dear Mogwi just a year ago, I am SO sorry you are going through this. I am so glad she has a family who is so willing to step up to the plate to help her. A friend of mine's cat had mast cell cancer at 15 years old, they gave her 3 months. With the treatment, she had 3 years of high quality life, and she was a senior to start with. I know that is a completely different kind of cancer, but hopefully it will give you some hope. Know that there are people here who are thinking about you and praying for your little kitty.

I'm very sorry you are having to go through this. I worked for many years as a vet tech (in my former non mommy lifetime) and this is just SO hard on the owners, as well as the pets, to handle. My prayers are with you.

Aww, jx3smom, I am so sorry about your dear kitty. I will be sure to say prayers for her, that she responds to chemo and will stay strong for a long time. I am sorry too about the poor response, and I understand as well.

Sorry to hear about your kitty. My parent's dog had chemo and it was amazing how well she tolerated it.....nothing like humans have to go through. You'd have never known she had had chemo that day unless you asked.....or if you smelled the McDonald's fries on her breath. That was her treat after chemo....they'd go to the McDonalds drive through and get her fries. I swear that dog could spot the golden arches a mile away.

Hope all goes well for your little one. :)

Please let us know if you get to pick her up today and how she's doing. :grouphug:

I just saw this. I'm so sorry about your kitten. :( What a terrible illness Lymphoma is! :furious: My son's dog died of it a few years ago. Maybe some day it, along with all the human cancers, will just be a tragic memory.

:grouphug: :grouphug: to you and your kitty.

I am really sorry to hear about your kitten. We lost our Beagel to Lymphoma this year. We elected not to do the chemo, due to her advanced age, but the Vet put her on Prednasone and we had a few really good months. I still think about her every day. She was my baby! She always had to be with me, and if she couldn't find me, I could hear her nails clicking on the floor, searching from room to room.
