my is this tacky ?

Hi Everyone,

We are not thinking of going to the wilderness lodge for our IVR and then to the lunch buffet downstairs in the cafe.

Would this be tacky. Someone said it would becasue of the buffet being a BBQ skillet.

WIll DIsney make it special since it is a wedding.

Also if so what you would recommond for lunch? I have a buget so it needs to be like under 20 dollars a head and a ton of food.

It is not a buffet. The skillet is a dinner choice at Whispering Canyon Cafe - it's brought family style. There are other things you can choose off of the menu.

Under $20 could be tough, but Whispering Canyon is a really neat place. You should know though that it's loud and open. There's not any privacy, even if you get the separate section behind the fireplace.

The previous poster is correct though. It's not a buffet, but there is an All-you-care-to-eat skillet (B, L & D). menu

Yeah I know it is a all you can get skillet. That is what I ment to say but my kids were running around me

So you really think that lunch time would be loud there?? Also does anyone know of a place that is a little quiter that was affordable??

Even if it was anot an all you can eat ?

theres another bride on here who had her reception type meal at whispering canyon cafe hopefully she'll also respond.

were having our rehearsal dinner at whispering canyon cafe at the wilderness lodge & personally we really like it, the food is good, atmosphere is fun & woodsy. it can get alittle loud with the waiter/ress antics but its still a nice place for a special or casual meal. you can do a meal here for $20 but youll have to be careful. the all you can eat skillet is like $23 at dinner.

for something more affordable i would look into the trail ends buffet at ft wilderness (theres a walkway from the wilderness lodge) its like $13pp.

if you can adjust your budget, artist point at the wilderness lodge is great, its more fancy.

We stayed at WL in December we were on concerige level 7th floor, and we could STILL hear the noise of Whispering Cannyon, no matter what time breakfast, lunch or dinner. So if you want quiet, relaxing, and romantic, this is reeeally not it. If you want loud, crazy, with horse races going on, then go for it.

I think it could be a fun idea. There are limited options for lunch, and I don't think it would be a bad choice at all.
