We are just back tonight from 10 nights. It was wonderful!
One thing that really bugged me was that when I tried to be a good diser and cancel my adrs that I realized we weren't going to need, I would be on hold for 10-20 minutes. Why couldn't there be some sort of cancellation option on the dining phone option for cancellations? After the first few times on hold I gave up and just let them go. I felt really bad, but there was no way I was going to spend hours on hold over the course of 10 days. I didn't have that many... so I am hoping it didn't affect too many people, but I felt really guilty about it. It is also almost impossible while in a different park than the one in which the adr is located. Once I did cancel with the concierge, but often the lines were just too long.
How hard would it be to have a "cancellation line" option on the Disney Dining phone system. Maybe you could enter a code or something....
I should clarify, these were adrs that we decided we didn't need when we were already at WDW. Usually it was while we were running out the door or were already at a park. If I realized we didn't need the adrs before we left I called immediately to cancel.
