I had never heard this song until DD6 came home from daycare at the YMCA. She learned it there along with some dance moves that we did not approve of. Especially for a 6 year old!!!! Needless to say, she doesn't go to daycare there anymore. It was over the Christmas break and we were trying it out.

I have to agree with you about the lyrics though.......does make me think of camels!

I was subbing in a second grade classroom on Friday and a boy was singing "Girl, shake that laffy taffy.......!" I was sooo shocked. I won't go into details, but let's just say they are not talking about the delightfully tasty, chewy, candy

The camel visual definitely gives the song a whole new slant for me though

This is why I don't listen to regular radio anymore.

Stuff like this and then I've lost so much respect for the Oscars too. Just look at their choice for best song "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp". Yeah. That's just what kids need to be listening to. Ugh!
