My Guide is no longer a guide..... :(

I had got some information from a guide (the nice dream hard cover book) months ago..
But decided not to buy 160 point contract (I just felt multiple small contracts was a better fit for us)
So the closing is happening now (woo hoo 26 OKW points), I'm not even in the disney system yet (hopefully this week)

and I called to talk to the guide that sent me the book to say as soon as we are in system I want to add 100 points at AKL (Or maybe SSR - I can't make up my mind- I want to hear the difference in incentives)

AND THEY TOLD ME SHE IS NO LONGER THERE...... Will a new guide be asigned to me once I am in the system?? Will someone contact me???
Or should I call and ask for someone??

I dealt with Lorie when I was purchasing. She was great. Had all the answers when I had questions. Walked me through the whole process and without being at all pushy. She was a joy to work with. If she is still w/ DVC, I would highly recommend her. Ed

Once we closed, we had one more contact with our guide. He called after our first stay to ask us how we liked it, did we have any questions or comments etc. And we never heard from him again...which was fine. I wasn't really expecting to hear from him again once the purchasing process was over. I figured I'd then be dealing with the MS CMs, who have all been lovely, in my experience.

I would call and ask for someone else. We just added on 300 points for AKV and they were already sold through the August Use Year. Bad for us as we wanted them on our same use year but did not want to wait to be able to use the points in February.

Our guide, Tim Grabman, is terrific...very responsive but never any pressure...couldn't be happier w/him. So, if you're looking for a really good guide, I would recommend that you ask for Tim...

My guide was Mary Mannix

I called earlier and talked to a Guide Ron,
He told me about the incentives...

I think because I am young I want AKL (or SSR) for the extra years, The incentives are better for SSR, I love animals and the look of AKL but my husband likes the look of SSR, he thinks we would not want to stay at AKL every year and SSR looks more like somwhere we could go back to time and again.

Hopefully I will be in the disney system by the end of the week and maybe by than I can actually make up my mind!!!

Wow! She was my guide and I just talked to her a couple of weeks ago and she said nothing about leaving! We just closed on 2 separate 160 point contracts. You would think she would've said something. Did they say when she left?

My current guide is Ron Brumbaugh, however, since he was my husband's guide as well. He is fantastic! I would highly recommend Ron to anyone looking to inquire into DVC.

No they didn't say, I called her direct line and it didn't go straight to her, I asked for her and they said "she is no longer with us"
so... I called back later and asked to speak to another guide..
I know I talked to her a week or so ago too...

I think they automatically reallocate a guide. That's what has happened to me in the past.

Yes, I agree Ron has been our guide since our first purchase in 1992. A pleasure dealing with him and always helpful.
