My Friend Passed Away Last Night

Some of you may remember me mentioning her a few weeks ago, she had brain cancer. She passed away last night. I knew she didn't have much longer since hospice had been called in a couple weeks or so ago, but it still is a shock. She went through so much with treatments the first time, and was cancer free for a few months but then it came back and treatment didn't help this time.

I am glad we had the opportunity to reconnect through Facebook before she got so sick. We had been friends since junior high so about 40 years. We were very close back then, and early on in high school but then our interests caused us to drift apart. We kept in touch awhile after we each got married, but then it was reduced to just Christmas cards the last several years.

I feel so bad for her husband and children (they're young adults). I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through.
