My first trip to WDW and DH's first time being arrested (Dec 2009)

I thought Kalie River rapids were boring too. I was really disappointed, actually. I kept waiting for something, anything to happen but it never did. It was a short ride too. I guess if it was 100 degrees out the cool water would be nice.
So you aren't the only one that found it boring. Can't wait to hear if you venture back off property. :cool1:

I know! huge waste of time. I think even if it were 100 degrees I would not waste time in a line for such a boring ride, I would have more fun dumping a bottle of water on my head to cool down.

I'm not really a fan of water rides, I don't like getting all wet and wearing wet cold clothes for the rest of the day.

The one time my sister and I were going to ride Splash Mountain, since we had rain ponchos to wear, the darn ride was closed for refurb. And, when I am there in Jan. '11, it's closed again! I may never ride that ride!

Never tried the River Rapids. I have seen people come off of it completely soaked. Interesting that you missed the crazy geysers, I would get hit by them...for sure! LOL

Great installment!!!! :thumbsup2
Splash Mountain is a fun and interesting ride, Kali River is soooo booooring. I hated walking around in wet clothes, even though I missed gettin ghit by the geyser, there was no avoiding the rain. I hope you get to eperience spalsh mountain at some point though.

Just got caught up again!! Great story, great writing, Love the pics in your sig. Keep it coming!!
Thank you for reading. I will keep it coming.

nice update!

I despise the blah river rapids! I could not agree more!
I'm glad I don't stand alone on this.
Thanks for another great update. I have never ridden Kali either....probably because our last few trips have been in Dec. I remember the crappy rainy weather that week last year....we didn't even go to AK at all, because of the rain.
There were some nice days mixed in with the crappy days, I don't mind the rain so much, it's the cold that got to me.

I tried to post this last night but my computer went a little nutty and it never did show up so Here is my 2nd attempt. I hate wonky compute days, I experience that alot, I feel for you, I really do.

I found this TR the other day and I have really been enjoying reading about your trip and your story. Sounds like you got yourself a keeper! :goodvibes
Thank you
I rode TOT once (under duress!)
:lmao:That's too funny.
Sorry you had such a rainy day at AK. You have to add Lion King to your list for next trip if you didn't get to do that one, it's a great show.
Oh it the rain wasn't so bad, it was just being cold that got to be too much.
Thank you for reading.

Ok it has taken me three days to get to this point! I'm not sure if all of this is real or not... and to be honest it doesn't really matter. I loved reading your story so far. I don't usually read TR's, but your title caught my attention. I gotta tell you I'm a hugh Disney fan but seeing it through your eyes has been fun! I've learned a few things I didn't know before. My next trip with my 25 y/o daughter is next November for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see Osborne Lights. We have been for Christmas several times and have never seen the lights, so that will be a must. We have also never eaten at Sci-Fi another must. We have done many tours and eaten at almost all the restaurants, but there are some we usually say we'll do it next time because we know there will be a next time as DVC owners. Anyway keep on writing there has to be an ending in there somewhere.

~Nannette
I'm glad you love reading my story, thank you for reading and commenting.

I love reading trip reports just to see Disney through other peoples eyes, and I learn new things too. It makes me happy that I could do that for you.

The Osborne lights are so magnificent, you are going to love them, I'm exicted for you.

Another great chapter Lee... Still loving this TR!!!
Thank you so much, I am still loving writing it.;) ya'll just keep encouraging me and it means so much.

Lovin the update!

Yes, just like flat Stanley I guess, only on a stick from what she told me:lmao:

Another great update! Can't wait to hear about your suprize for the last day!!

Melissa
Thank you, I think you all will be surprised with my surprise, well maybe not, but still....;)

A flat Rig and Lee....that's hilarious!!!!!

Thank you so much. And thank you for reading.
I just read your whole TR :worship: You are a terrific writer, I must say it's the best one I've ever read:thumbsup2
Thank you for the awesome compliment, I am having such a good time writing this, and it helps to know that people like it.

Thanks Lee. I hope you have a good week too.
You are welcome and thank you too, my week is pretty good so far, I mean it's Monday and I have no complaints so far.:lmao:

We all can understand that!!! Take your time, we'll be waiting patiently. ;)
Thank you, I will have this finsihed before Christmas, maybe not thanks giving, but definitely Christmas, I asked Rig to post his thoughts but he shot me down on that.

I can't believe your trip is coming to an end. Can't wait to read about your last day!!
Yea, the end is nearing, I'm starting to get a little sad, kin of the same feeling when I was actaully there and the end was nearing.

Lee, am I reading this right or did I miss something? You went to Nemo twice, but didn't go to Festival of the Lion King? OMG you DO NOT know what you're missing. Lion King is my favorite show in all of WDW. I even made a special trip to just see it while I was staying at a friend's house nearby.
You didn't miss anything, I did Nemo twice that day and missed outonthe Lion King.:guilty:

I have been reading your TR all along, but I never commented, but I just wanted to finally pop in and let you know how much I am truly enjoying it! :thumbsup2

I had to laugh out loud at Rig's last comment!!! That was really funny!!!

And I also can't wait to hear what the surprise for the last day was. (I just might have to steal your idea! Even though I don't know what it is yet.

I kow what you mean about Jenny and Grant feeling like they've been your friends for a long time, as I feel like you and Rig are friends of mine after reading your writing style.

Can't wait till your next exstalment.

P.S. Up here near Philadelphia we say Soda.

We stopped and looked in the lego shop, I even played around with the legos while Jenny purchased a few things. Then we went into the world of Disney. I found a shirt for Josh in there, it had all the characters on it and said DisneyWorld, perfect, I had to text his Mom and get his shirt size, I have no idea how to buy toddler clothes. For Ally I decided on a pair of mouse ears, I thought she would get a kick out of that, I also got her a travel coffee mug, and then I got one for myself and Rig. I found a pink shirt that I loved so I got it for myself, then I saw a green Tinker bell hoodie with a fur collar, I fell in love with it, so I put back the pink shirt. I got Charlie a shot glass, and a pen for Bossman, chocolate truffles in a Disney Tin for Bossmans wife, and I got some ink pens to hand out to my coworkers, there, the damage was done. No more spending Leela, I said that to myself, I said it firmly too. I would have pointed at myself as I said it, but that would have been taking it a little too far. So I put the debit card away and left it in my pocket until we went into the store that sold soaps and body butters and bath fizzies. The card was still warm from my last purchase. I did a little more damage in that store, nothing huge, but enough.
There Leela, that's it, you're done!!!!!

I  that store with the bath products. It's called 'Basin.' I'm addicted to their Almond body lotion!!! :rolleyes1

Hi Leela! I've finally come out of lurkdom and wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading about your Disney adventures (on and off property!). I hope you and Rig get to go back to Disney real soon so that we all get the benefit of another RigLee trip report! Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your trip!

Thank you for coming of lurkdom, I like to meet the people who read this and thank them personally, as personally as I can any way, so thanks.:)

:lmao: poor guy.
And I also can't wait to hear what the surprise for the last day was. (I just might have to steal your idea! Even though I don't know what it is yet.
It's not really a surprise, it was just a change of plans that would surprise Rig.
I kow what you mean about Jenny and Grant feeling like they've been your friends for a long time, as I feel like you and Rig are friends of mine after reading your writing style.
Thank you , that is really sweet:flower3:
Can't wait till your next exstalment.
I hope to get another installment out soon.

Thank you for reading and for posting. I'm glad you have enjoyeed this story, it's coming to an end soon, I don't know if there will be any more Rig and Leela Disney stories any time soon.:guilty: But I will be lurking around the boards. And I might pop us as a flat Leela in somebody elses story.

Ok -- so it's been about a year now right? Trying to guess possible names for BabyRig!

Love the updates!
Yikes about the guys getting drink! Wow, you really wiped out that debit card. That hot chocolate does sound good. Can't wait to hear about the surprise.

The guys did have a few too many that night, but no damage there. The debit card however, yeah...:rolleyes1.

Hey guys, I hope to have the next update out by Sunday at the latest, but I thought ya'll might like to see a picture of Banjo.

Love the picture! Our dog that we got right after we got married was also named Banjo. We thought we were naming her after a Disney character, but we goofed. :confused3 There was a cartoon-movie on the Disney Channel called "Banjo, the Woodpile Cat" (yes, we named our dog after a cat :rolleyes1) but it wasn't an actual Disney show. It was Don Bluth - the guy who did Land Before Time and All Dogs Go to Heaven - and a bunch of other cool stuff. He did used to work for Disney - but "Banjo" wasn't a Disney product. :confused3

Anyway - longer story than you wanted to hear - but was tickled to see my dog's name (she's been gone for a few years now) being used again!

So, you went to Animal Kingdom and didn't see Festival of the Lion King?

It is (in my opinion) the best show at WDW.
