I'm another Big Brother fan so I understand no new update last night, but I'm sure looking forward to one soon. I was there the same time you were last year, but we were at Magic Kingdom the really rainy day.

One of the first things we wanted to do was Splash Mountain, this was before the bottom fell out. We thought we would beat the rain but when we paused at the top of the last drop and looked out it was pouring! We didn't mind, we figured we were going to get wet, and boy did we! As soon as we got off we bought ponchos at the dump shop at the end of the ride, don't know why we bothered though, we were soaked. That turned out to be the best day at Magic Kingdom. I guess the rain ran a lot of people off because the park was almost empty, we walked on almost everything!

I also second the hope that you take up some writing courses. I know you said you love your waitressing job but you truly have a real skill, and the ability to portray the innocence and sweetness of your relationship and keep us all entertained and enthralled is priceless. Maybe you could even think about showing this to your family, both sides of your family? I know you said both of you have family issues and I think they would be so proud of you with your writing ability and how much you have captured an audience, and your sweet innocent love for each other is just adorable and so warmhearting,and you portray that with such skill and humor. It may even help bring your family together. Just a thought. I know I would be so proud of my daughter.

Now I am sorry, but as a less than prolific poster myself, I do not see the problem with either myself, or any other person who so desires writing a report. Just because you choose not to post, does not mean that you cannot, or should not, write a report. Unless I have completely misjudged this forum (which if I was only looking at this thread, I can completely understand how people would do) and it is only those "veteran" posters who are actually welcome to post reports.
I have been here a while actually on and off, and I rarely post because if I have a query, I invariably look and someone has asked it previously and I find the answer then. That does not make me less important, my posts less important or my potential to post less important.

I am totally loving this thread, I love RigLee, I adore her story.

RigLee, as another British fan, I can concur that your lovely husband has indeed cemented my minds picture of a cowboy. I am half wanting to change my holiday plans from Disney to cowboy country at the moment to see if I can get my husband some lessons (only joking, I am the most lucky wife in the whole wide world to have the most generous, loving adoring husband and I would not swap him for the world).

He does not however, speak with a drawl.... or wear a hat that he can tip at people

Just wanted to say I have also been enjoying your TR. I was away on Monday and when I came home Tues night I had 10 pages to catch up on. So I guess it's because I just finished watching 5 seasons of Lost, don't know if you're a fan but I keep picturing Rig to look like Sawyer from Lost Josh Holloway. This guy in case you don't know who I mean.

I also have to say you are braver than me. I have been on TOT twice but have not tried RNR. There is something very theraputic though about the screaming at the top of my lungs I do on TOT. I get off feeling like ahhh that felt great!

Where as Joh Holloway is a hottie, he's a little too old and scruffy, Rig has got a baby face.
the ride picture is great, a lot cuter then mine was.

I have to agree. If "RigLee" is not already an author/writer then they need to be. It takes great skill to be able to capture the readers attention & keep them wanting more. I typically do not read the TR's but the word "arrest" caught my attention as should any title to get you to open & interested in reading it. I myself read alot of James Patterson books, I enjoy his writing.

After reading nearly all of the TR I began to think "RigLee" sounds pretty close to Ripley..as in "Believe it or not"

I wondered if maybe you were a fulltime college student doing a project for a writing class? No matter, it's a great story & keep up the good work. I'd give you an A+!!!!

HAHAHAHA! My 7 yr old niece is now tall enough to ride and those two are the two she says she WILL NOT ride. Those are the best two rides!

, I think those 2 rides are perfectly fine to skip over, but I am also glad I rode them.

there was a character named Trucker on an old soap opera: Loving.... and an old friend of mine named her girls Harmony and Melody.
I, too wish there was a "weenie" version of TOT. I don't feel like I'm missing out on most rollercoasters, but opn TOT , there is stuff to SEE. there was a kiddie ride at the now defunctKiddieland near Chicago that was a drop ride, but it wasn't very high. maybe they cold hae smaller drops on the weenie version?

Lee, I am glad you at leat tried RNRC. Now you can say you did it. It is probably my favorite ride at Disney World. One day we rode it and TOT 7-8 times each. I guess you can call us thrill junkies. I can see how Rig would fall asleep in the Little Mermaid. Personally, and I know this is really un-American, I can get a nice rest in during the Hall of Presidents. While I do enjoy the show, the air and comfy chairs make it real easy to doze off.

I don't know how anybody could sleep during the little mermaid, it was an amazing show, The seats were comfy though.

Hi Lee, loving the TR.

If you're brave enough to try rollercoasters again you might try what I started doing with DD8, actually it started with DD16 when she was younger. We look for the camera and intentionally make funny/goofy faces for the ride photo. We discuss and practice the faces we're going to make while waiting in line, it keeps her mind off the upcoming ride. And watching for the camera distracts her from the fear during the ride as well.

And to everyone on the DIS...so sorry if we messed up your ride photo.

Just had to pipe in, I read the whole TR and loved everyword so far, we were there the same time at the WL and were in Epcot in the rain as well. There are people who are in love and stay in love even after 24 years of wedded bliss. My husband still carries bags, opens doors Takes my hand to help me up or down and pulls out my chair for me to sit. Its not far fetched just not the norm any more so most people can't believe it could be true. You are a gifted writer and should continue to do what you love, including Rig!!!! He's a true keeper.

We walked as far as the big sorcerers hat before having to pull out the map. It would be nice to have GPS for the parks, just punch in voyage of the little mermaid and follow the directions.
It wasn't confusing or hard or anything like that, it just seems like everything is hidden behind something else, Hollywood studio was like a corn maze to me.
Rig found it on the map and then we turned in that direction.

I was wondering if there was some place you could take a good nap at DHS. I'll have to remember this one.

the lights came on and I had to wake up my cowboy.

Was this sleeping beauty in reverse? Did you wake him with a kiss?

Calm down, I wasn't digging, it just seemed that the poster i replied too was a set up. what the poster wrote sounded very well..whatever. doesn't matter.

idk where you got that I think only vets should write reports what even makes someone a veteran reporter? I've written some and I've only been on here since 2008. I welcome any and all TR fiction or non fiction

Rig insisted that he was NOT sleeping, he was just resting heavily, but I knew better, if he'd been given another minute he would have been drooling.

It was time to refer to the map again, I swear in all our time at Walt Disney world, I don't think I ever saw another soul looking at a park map, just us. We were the only clueless people that week.

The great movie ride sounded interesting, so back out to the sorcerers hat we went, the high school musical show was going on at the the time, we had no desire to see that, so we kept moving on behind the hat and into the building.

Again their was the whole show before the show. I didn't mind this at all. I like movies, old and new, I love to watch movies. I can't watch black and white movies though, I tend to lose track of the plot to easily, I find myself getting caught up in wondering what color things are suppose to be. I think I was 7 years old when I saw the Wizard of Oz. I thought that Dorothys dress would be green and yellow checks, that is how I imagined it until it turned to color and I saw it was blue and white. It bugged me for a long time, I wanted her dress to be green and yellow the way I imagined it to be.

The movie reels in the show before the show looped through 2 times and had started on it's 3rd when we were finally let in for the ride.

Rig and I were right up in the front. I snuggled into Rig to enjoy our ride through the movies.
I recognized most of the movies, even if alot of them I haven't seen. I have never seen a John Wayne movie, I have seen some Clint Eastwood westerns, there was a marathon of them last winter, I saw the Good the bad and the Ugly for the first time. Omagosh was the music in that movie remarkable or what?
Of course I recognized Mary Poppins and the Wizard of Oz, I think that was my favorite part.
there was a part where it was showgirls, but I didn't know what movie that was from.
Oh and our ride vehicle was hijacked by a gangster. The player was really fun, he enjoyed his job and played his character to the hilt, he looked at Rig and asked "Did one of my guys do that to ya?"
Rig had to put his head down and laugh at that.

Once the ride was over I concluded that I really liked it and would go again, it held my attention all the way through but like most of the disney rides you have to go on it a couple times in order to see it all. Maybe even more than a couple of times. Rig stayed awake on this too, so there ya go.

We passed by the American Idol experience. I begged Rig to sing for it. (he's so much fun to watch at karaoke) but Rig said no.

"Maybe if I didn't look like a cyclops."

Excuses, excuses. He wouldn't have done it even if he didn't have that big ole black eye. Back home every couple of months the Fiddlers association building will have karaoke, It always takes Rig a few beers, alot of coaxing, and a couple bribes before he will get up and sing. He's not American Idol good, he can carry a tune and sounds good, but it's watching him that's the most fun.

So american Idol shot down we kept walking. Indiana Jones had just started a show, we knew we wanted to see that so we said we would come back later in the day.

Star Tours was next. Sometimes we didn't know if something was a ride or a show, so we pulled out the map, it's a ride simulator. I was picturing it being like Mission Space, only more star wars oriented.

"Want to ride this I do."

"Babylee don't do that danged backwards talking thing again."

They had had a star wars marathon on TV, (did I mention marathons are like my favorite?) I watched all of them, but then a few months later Rig and I rented them all on DVD so we could watch without commercials. We also watched them in story order, not in the order they were released. Which is interesting because the story flows better but the graphics decline, are you getting me here? But anyway, Empire strikes back is my favorite. and after we watched that I talked like Yoda alot. and it drove Rig nuts.!

The ride was a little empty at first, we walked almost all the way up to the Cm who asks how many in your party. then we had to wait, not long, just long enough for me to annoy Rig.

"Rig, you must go to the Degoba system."

"Babylee!"

"There you will find Yoda."

"Leeeeeee!"

"He will complete your training."

"babylee! control yourself"

Rig played right into that one cause I got all excited and said "Control! control! you must learn control."

Rig turned his back to me. "Rig, I'm sorry, I'll quit."


I had to giggle, I honetly drove Rig bonkers after I saw all those movies. They just have some of the best lines and I love saying them, especially when Rig is driving. "what? no ship that small has a cloaking device."
I am by no means a star wars buff, I just love to quote it.

I also wanted to own a Yoda, an ewok and a wookie, of course I wanted a Mogwai after I saw Gremlins. (the real things, not stuffed animals)

"How many in your party?

"2"

"alright line up at such and such"

I nodded, "Copy gold leader."

Rig wasn't smiling, he wanted to, I know he did, but he just looked at me, eyebrows raised.

"Sorry Rig, I couldn't help that one."

We got to board our ship, it wasn't what I thought it would be, but I was still excited. Rig and I were sitting in the middle of the ship. We got strapped in and the flight began. It's kind of a bouncy trip, it doesn't have the same effect as Mission space, but it was still fun. there was a lot of motion to go with the show, I had a great time.

When it was over Rig said it made him a little sick in the stomache and he had to put his head down and not watch the screen.

We exited into the souvenir shop, I would have loved to have gotten our picture superimposed onto a starwars character, there were already a few people lined up to do it, and the price seemed a little steep, so we passed on it.

Outside we figured it was close enough to lunch, our dinner reservations were early that night so we probably should eat lunch early.

Rig took out the map, "I think I saw a few places on here that look good."

"aahhh, the future you see."

Rig ignored me, "This place has pizza, I don't know what the other has, what do you want Lee?"

"Even Yoda can not fore see the future."

Rig folded up the map and put it in his pocket. "Well I can see the future and we're having pizza." he walked off and left me to chase after him.

I followed him to Toy Story Pizza Planet.

"Omagosh Rig, this looks like so much fun."

We got in line and each ordered the pepperoni pizza and garden salad, we both also got a rice crispy treat, and I was so excited that it was shaped like a Mickey head.

We took our food to eat outside. We found a nice table in the sun.

The pizza was delicious, I only had a few bites, I gave my pizza to Rig and he gave me his salad, one personal sized pizza just wasn't enough for Rig. I didn't mind giving him mine, I love salads, and theirs were so fresh and so yummy.

After we ate we just sat for a bit sipping on our pop. Watching people come and go. I had been sitting across from Rig so I got up and moved next to him.

"You're quiet, are you mad?"

"No, I'm not mad, why do you think I'm mad?"

"I thought maybe I went overboard with my star wars fever."

Rig smiled, "Babylee, I give you mad props for remembering all those lines."

"Do you still feel sick in your stomache?"

"Nope, I'm just feeling a little sluggish."

"should we go back to the resort for a nap?"

"No, give me a second, I'll catch my second wind."

I asked Rig for the map and while he was trying to gather energy I studied the park.

Muppets in 3-D sounded like fun, and it was right there, so once we finished our pop we tossed our trash and headed in to watch it.

There was the show before the show I loved seeing all the props laying around, I don't have a favorite muppet, I think they are all cute, except for Miss Piggy, I don't care too much for her.
We took our seats in the back of the theater. the theater hardly filled up, there were still lots of people, but there were more empty seats then people.
I as always snuggled up to Rig for the show.
I love watching stuff in 3-D and I liked the show it was super cute, I looked over at Rig at one point to see if he was asleep, he was. He didn't even has his glasses on. His cowboy hat was resting on his knee and his glasses on top of his head. He usually falls asleep during the movies at home, very seldom does he fall asleep when we go to the movie theater.

When the show was over I woke Rig and we left the theater with everybody else.
We just kind of followed the rest of the crowd and ended up on the streets of America. I could see wires all over the buildings, I then got excited for Spectacle of lights which we had plans to see that night.

We passed where the motor car stunt show and the back lot tour. Rig was starting to fade. I finally insisted that we needed to go back to the resort because I wasn't having fun enjoying this by myself, with everything I got excited about Rig would just half smile and mumble that's nice, or oh yeah, just words, nothing from the heart.

He said he didn't need a nap he just needed Tylenol, we had some....at the resort. So we decided to go back just for an hour or two and then come back for our dinner reservations and maybe finish up the rest of the park.

We weren't in a huge rush to do the whole park in one day, we had another day planned for this park later, I was fine with skipping out early.
We came across Toy Story and wow the line was huuuuuuge, the fast passes were gone for the day, so we knew it must be a good ride and we would have to make that a priority on our next visit to this park.

We also said we wanted to see one mans dream, our list was growing. When we came upon the magic of animation Rig wanted to go in right then, he couldn't wait to come back. I thought fine, if that puts some pep in his step lets do it.

There were a few people ahead of us, The CM said the show had already started, but Rig said we'd wait, it was roughly only 15 minutes. We went in and took our seats. the show was so funny and very interesting.

When it was over we walked witht he rest of the crowd, there were lots of things to do, but Rig wanted to draw a character, so we went to that line.
They had Doug from the movie UP, I wanted to go over and meet him so bad, Rig said we'd definitley come back for that, but drawing was #1 on his mind.

We were let in and took our seats at our drawing tables. I was getting excited now too, I was going to lear how to draw a Disney character, I was hoping it would be something good and easy. Easy is always good, but good isn't always easy ya know.

Rig leaned over and said to me, "Maybe one of the stores here sells tylenol."

I hadn't seen any tylenol in any of the stores except for at our resort, We were discussing this, thinking maybe they kept some behind the counter, or maybe we could just go to first aid. the lady next to us, said she didn't have Tylenol but she had Motrin and he could have some if he wanted. Rig gladly accepted 3 and swallowed them down without any water. She then started telling us about a car accident that she had been in some years ago and how her eye was all swollen like Rigs and she still gets bad headaches.

We thanked her for her generosity and then the artsist said it was time to get started, he was going to show us how to draw...Donald Duck, I put my pencil down and thought there is no way I can draw Donald Duck, but he made it look so easy, just starting out with basic shapes and adding lines and shading later. I tried to draw Donald after all, it was ok, Rigs was better, but once we left I found the first trash can and dumped mine in it.

We walked back out by the sorcerers hat and High school musical was playing again, it seemed like everytime we would be by the hat, that is what would be going on.

We back tracked and found ourselves close to the back lot tour again. We stopped and just sat on a bench to see if Rigs headached would go away or not.

Riglee- I am enjoying your TR so much! Found it yesterday and stayed up until 2am this morning getting caught up! You definitely have the gift of writing- what a gift! Also...ETA...we were there at the same time as you! We were there from Dec 5-10. DD 10 was cheering at a National Cheerleading competition at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

Lee, My computer restarted today so I had to relook up your report, do you know you have over 111,000 views! WOW!!!!

Anyway, Animatiion Academy is our favorite thing in HS, last trip DD8, DD11 and I drew 6 characters in one day. Goofy was the only one we all did (DH took DD15 back to the room early one night) so I took them all and framed them, they are hanging in our hallway. I love them, they always make me smile.

I haven't posted much, I was afraid some of my tangents were the ones that might get your thread closed, but I want you to know I have been reading each and every post!

Awesome update Lee! The Great Movie Ride is one of our favs. My husband loves John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. He has seen them all more times than I can count. I have had to watch several of them throughout the last 9 years. Some of them are really good.... Can't wait to read more! Looking forward to hearing your take on the Osborne Lights! They are awesome.
