My first trip to WDW and DH's first time being arrested (Dec 2009)

We walked as far as the big sorcerers hat before having to pull out the map. It would be nice to have GPS for the parks, just punch in voyage of the little mermaid and follow the directions.

This is an awesome idea!!!!

I thought for sure you were gonna bail on RnR. Personally I love this ride! Take off always takes my breath but the rest of the ride makes up for those 3 seconds:thumbsup2

Ok I have just spent over 2 hours reading your trip report and my nose is running and I'm holding back tears. This is the best thing I've read in a really long time. Thank you for contuing to write it. I can't wait for your next update!!

""there were 2 young girls infront of us, I couldn't tell if they were friends or sisters. they both had the same hair color, one was taller and had braces but that was it for similarities. Do you ever do that? see 2 people out and wonder if they are friends or related?""

I do this all the time. I will stand there in a line watching a group, trying to figure out who belongs to who. I look at features and try to decide if the kids look like mom or dad... We were in line one time behind an Amish family - a fairly young couple with 3 small children. That by itself caught my eye - I don't claim to know the beliefs and customs of Amish - but somehow Disney World didn't seem consistent with my admittedly stero-typed thoughts of what the Amish do. But on top of that they were there with an older couple who were wearing "normal" street clothes - and the woman was carrying one of the young children. So I was trying to look at "grandma and grandpa" and try to figure out who was their child. I never did satisfy my curiosity on that one. :confused3 And another time we were at the Dessert Party and there was a really obnoxious group ahead of us in the line while we were waiting to be let in. I thought I had it all figured out that this one man and woman were husband and wife (by the way they were bickering - not because the looked like honeymooners!) - lucky us - they were seated near us - and I discovered that they were actually brother and sister. I was trying to pair all of them in to couples....but apparently neither of them had a spouse with them.

All that aside, I discovered you thread this evening - your title definitely caught my eye. And I am pround (and somewhat ashamed) to say I have read all 49 pages :surfweb: Well - maybe not all of them....I kinda skimmed a little when I would get to the "fact or fiction" debates. I do remember a similar debate on another thread - not the Del's Wife that was brought up - but Miss Cammie. I don't think that was her screen name, but it was the name that she referred to herself as (and that her step-children called her) and she got blasted for remembering tiny details and in-depth conversations. I think the last trip report of hers (at least that I had found) she quit about halfway through. Because of that I quit reading "in progress" reports for awhile. I hated getting so far involved and then it just stopped. Recently I started spending more time on the boards and reading more folders and more threads. I really hope we get to follow this story all the way through the flight home :rolleyes1

I loved her trip reports, her screen name was CampbellScott I think.

Lee-You and Rig would probably like her she was big on manners and yes mames.

Oh Lee, I am LOVING your TR. I just stumbled upon it today and have read every single page. The relationship between you and Rig is so enduring and I can't help but smile while reading this. You two seem so sweet and fun, it's no wonder Grant and Jenny wanted to hang out with you!!! I would too....

Looking forward to reading more soon ....!!!!popcorn::popcorn::

I am sitting here completely exhausted. Was supposed to try and fall asleep over two hours ago, but decided to check the Disboards one time before heading to sleep. My back is sore from bending over the laptop at the bottom of my bed. In the space of two hours, I have read all the posts and fallen completely in love with your TR. Truly, I do hope at the end we get a pic of you and Rig! I am subbing to your TR and a tad bit obsessed with how adorable it is. Also, if you are fan of Knight in Shining Armor read Remembrance by Jude Deveraux. I HATE romance novels, but I read everything she writes. Remembrance is my fave (even more than all the Montgomery boys). I can not WAIT to read the rest of your TR!!!

Yep, DH is in information security. But the down fall of that is no facebook, no my space, and if you google my real name, you won't find me. I don't mind not being found but there is so much I miss because I'm not on facebook.
The few times I've written TR's (which I never end up finishing) the kids all get code names.

Uhmmm, I'm in IS as well - but why should that mean no Facebook (which I'm on)? What, exactly, do you think people are going to 'find' if you have a FB account? (Or MySpace, Twitter, whatever.)

The thing to do with any and all of these sites is only post what you're comfortable with, and, at all times, keep it sensible. Don't post addresses / phones numbers / bank account details! There's nothing inherently 'insecure' about having a Facebook account, as long as you're sensible with it.

Oops, can't believe this is my first post on this TR. Loving the TR so far, RigLee. Really enjoying it. Keep it up!

Hey Lee, I too just discovered your report this week and have read the entire thing. You have made me late for work two days in a row...but I don't care I was thoroughly entertained!! It is very good and is also very believable. I think people remember things in their own way. I, for one, have a photographic memory. I can picture a memory in my head and remember every detail down to what someone in the background was wearing. I can also recall conversations and remember the syntax and tone to a tee. But here's the kicker(and this particularly annoys my husband) I have a horrible short term memory. That is to say, that when my dh calls me at work and tells me to pick up five things at the store, I remember one thing and come home with ten other things he didn't ask for. lol

Oh and by the way, you've boosted my confidence in trying some of the greater thrill rides. I figure if you can do it...so can I.(ahh then again, I want to live, so maybe not)

I posted a blank reply, so I'll try again.

Lee, I love this TR. Rig sounds like such a gentleman, give him a hug from an old lady. He's a keeper and I'd tip my hat to him if I had one.

Lee - LOVING IT! I have been sitting here laughing out loud while my family just looks at me like I'm crazy! You are bravier then I am! I said I wanted to do everything at Disney at least once - but I WON'T do ToT! Can't stand drops! Would love to see a green and orange option!!
Keep the writing coming.
Ellen

Just wantin to tell ya that I think you are very brave to be writin this as your first time writin anything. I have been writin my trip reports in my head and when I get some time, down on paper. You have givin me the courage to sit a spell and try it for real here.

You are a real hero to me and others I reckon. Thank you for showing me I can get people to read my stories about adventure even if I am not a city girl and polished like fine silver.

really..and you only have 2 posts :rotfl:

BEST story ever! You go babylee! I love me a good cowboy story! Thanks for the good reads:hug:

Just wanted to say I have also been enjoying your TR. I was away on Monday and when I came home Tues night I had 10 pages to catch up on. So I guess it's because I just finished watching 5 seasons of Lost, don't know if you're a fan but I keep picturing Rig to look like Sawyer from Lost Josh Holloway. This guy in case you don't know who I mean.

I also have to say you are braver than me. I have been on TOT twice but have not tried RNR. There is something very theraputic though about the screaming at the top of my lungs I do on TOT. I get off feeling like ahhh that felt great! My son has been on TOT so many times he's lost count. He knows when the picture is taken so I thought I would share this. That's me screaming in the bottom left corner and my dear son pointing and laughing at me. There's some pretty good expressions on the other people on the ride too.

Lol - that little girl clinging on to her dad's arm at the front is pretty much exactly how my DD5 looked when riding it with me, only she buried her face in my arm too!

My daughter kept after me to read your trip report...and she was right! You are a wonderful wrighter. I love it!

Now the fiction is showing. Pooh and Peter Pan will have the long lines while Snow White will not! ;)

I am still enjoying it anyway.:thumbsup2

I have to agree. If "RigLee" is not already an author/writer then they need to be. It takes great skill to be able to capture the readers attention & keep them wanting more. I typically do not read the TR's but the word "arrest" caught my attention as should any title to get you to open & interested in reading it. I myself read alot of James Patterson books, I enjoy his writing.

After reading nearly all of the TR I began to think "RigLee" sounds pretty close to Ripley..as in "Believe it or not" ;)

I wondered if maybe you were a fulltime college student doing a project for a writing class? No matter, it's a great story & keep up the good work. I'd give you an A+!!!!
