My first PTR..May 2011 anyone out there??

I'm in! First of all congrats on being Cancer Free! That is a great reason to celebrate along with your DH being back to work. Life is too short, and it is awesome you get to take your lil' guy back again.

I am also from MA ( 30 mins up 93 from Boston w/ no traffic LOL!) and will be there in May. I am planning on writing a pretrippie as well, and hope to learn alot from yours.

HMMMMM.. we may live very close to eachother.. I am not off 93 RTE 3..
Yes, in the past couple of years life has thrown us some curve balls.. but we are stronger and believe it or not happier for everything we have been through..
I am SO excited for our trip.. I want this trip to be the best one yet..
Although, I jumped the gun on my prior excitement on upgrading to a deluxe.. I just don't think we can make it work.. I thought the Boardwalk had privledges at the beachclub, and they don't.. so if we can the beachclub its over $1200 more and thats with a 40% off.. ahhh. maybe someday.. but for now I am going to just be happy with what we've got..

I also just realized that not only will we be @ CSR together ( we arrive the 8th) but we are spending that evening in Epcot ( our ADRs are for La Hacienda though) too too funny!

We also thought about upgrading to a villa ( we were gonna rent points for a AKV Value studio) but we are using my Disney Visa 6 month 0 interest financing, so it was just out of the question this time ( sad cause it would have been cheaper).

Hope an upgrade is in the cards for you. If not CSR looks awesome ( I love Panchito, Jose Carioca and Fiesta Donald so I am psyched to stay there)

Thank you everyone for keeping your fingers crossed. But,........ it's not going to work.. I am SO SAD.. my agent crunched the numbers and.. everyything was over $1000 more even with a 40% off.. I was just bummed.. $700 I was willing to do but not over $1000.. I should just leave well enough alone.. Now, I am bummed about my AWESOME Trip...

Hmmm.. is that a festival by any chance??? If so, then YES, we live in your hometown.. You may live in my husbands former hometown if you are off of 93.. too funny..

I planned my Mother's Day to eat at my favorite restaurant.. So psyched to be able to eat at Le Cellier.. we have lunch there though.. kind of a lazy day ..

If you want any pointers let me know.. I am not the most knowledgable but I do know alot.. hahaha.. You will have an awesome time.. One little bit of info..don't get discouraged if you can't fit everything in.. there is SO much to see and you just won't have enough time to see it all.. Just try to get to your top things.. Anyway you slice it, it will be an AWESOME time..

Just think of it this way, you will be in WDW! The resort you stay at is just the icing on the cake, I am sure you will have a great time no matter where you stay.

I hear you about the lottery. I splurged (I never really gamble or play the lottery) and bought $10 of lottery tickets for the $290 million drawing. DH looked it up and the after taxes cash payout on that is $185 million. I can live with that I'd get a nice 2 bedroom villa for my trip!

Yesterday was a bit of a disappointment.. I guess I just convinced myself that the discount would be so good that it would totally be ok so switch to to a deluxe..
I know I shouldn't sound so sad.. Because.. afterall I am SO lucky to even be going at all.. But, there is a little back story to this.. The first time I ever went to Disney was in the 70's.. So, as you DISers know, there weren't too many choices of resorts back then, and my family chose the POLY as the resort we always went back too.. Ever since then, I have dreamed about it.. I go back every time I visit the world to the POLY and the smell just brings me back to being a child again..
Still at my age, everytime I come back I feel like I am in a whole new world.. the troubles of the real world are left behind and its just all Disney all the time..
Now that i am a mom I wanted to be able to stay at a Deluxe just once and this would have been the perfect trip.. After all that we are celebrating.. But, money doesn't grow on trees in this house and the next month I have my son's 5th Birthday and my husband's 40th and I just can't justify paying over $1200 just to stay at a deluxe.. So, that's why I was a little bummed yesterday.. But today, I turned that frown upside down and decided to add KONA to my list of TS ressies.. I am pretty excited about it as of course it is in my favorite the Poly and I haven't eaten back here in probably over 15 years..

I can understand why you were feeling down. You went from a high to a low. I too yearn for a deluxe stay once again, I know it will happen someday just not now. One day you will get back to the Poly!

I know I will.. I really am so happy to just be going. but, I spend too much time on this dang site and am always reading the reviews for deluxes with all their allure.. it makes me crazy.. i know that we will have an unbelievable time no matter where we stay..

now if I could just stay off the dining review threads.. haha

So now I just 40% for deluxe and 35% off moderates.. problem is it starts in the middle of my trip.. so now I am thinking about doing a split stay so that I can stay at my beloved Poly.. My question and no one has answered this can I use the first pin code for the first part of my stay that has already been applied and then use the new one for the last part of my trip??? Please say yes Please say yes..

I don't see why not, they are two separate reservations so you are not doubling up, just simply using two different discounts for two different resorts/reservations.

Hmmm, hopefully they will let you shorten the original reservation and still keep the code.
