My first Manicure?

I was thinking of taking my two dd's to my first manicure at the GF? Has anyone done this before? The WDW website doesn't list much information other than it's for children ages 4-12. My dd's will be 3 (turning 4 on the day we come home) and 8 when we go. They love having their nails done, so I think they would love this experience, but I would love to hear from someone who has actually done it.

Hi! I have never done the GF First Manicure but I did take my DD 3years ago to Saratoga Springs Spa for her manicure/pedicure. I think it was called Minnie Manicure. She was 10 at the time and loved it!

They did everything that the "big" girls get - just not as detailed because she had her toes and fingers done. The ladies were very nice and she even got a beauty kit with samples and a Minnie Mouse stuffed doll. I though this was a great value for what treatment she recieved. I had a manicure and it a was fun girls day out - we were both in the same room having our treatments. We really enjoyed it!

On our last visit - for her 13th birthday - we went to the GF Spa and did a pedicure for her and manicure for me. The spa was very nice and so were the people working there. Of course, she was too old for the Minnie package and we had to pay the "big" girl rates.

Both Spas were very nice and professional - if your girls are "girly" girls - they will love it!!

Christina, I'd inqurie into the prices first if I was you. I checked into a fill in for my acrylic nails while we were there and it seems like it was either $30 or $60 for the fill in alone. Seems like there is a website that has the prices. I'll see if I can find it for you. I had thought about the same thing but after seeing the prices I rethought it and just did another character dinner. My girls are always picking their polish off by the time we get home from our local nail salon anyhow!

The first manicure is $30, first pedicure is also $30, the fill in was $55 and a full set ws $75 YIKES!
