Looks like you'll be having a great time.

Are you staying on-site? If not I think you've picked some parks that have Xtra hours for the Disney hotel guests (MK friday and AK on saturday) - I'm comparing the days with my plan for July so I'm not sure if they change the days in August.

If staying off-site I would avoid parks with the extra hours.

Hi, we are also going in August , a lot of us are on here , I think you seem to have everything covered.

The only thing I would say is possibly squeeze in an extra rest day or two, depending on the type of tickets you have in theory you could visit 2 parks in one day, say AK in the morning and MGM in the evening for example.

I would be open minded about your plan and possibly see how you feel on certain days, you can always change when you get out there - especially as the weather will be very hot.

The crowds mid August onwards are much lighter so that is a big advantage.

10 straight days of parks and attractions is a lot to take on maybe in August. Starting with the biggest Disney park is brave too.

I have toyed around with it a little . As mentioned, avoid parks with EMH. I'd also keep (like you have) a number of days between Busch and Kennedy as the both involve a bit more travelling. And shop the weekends when the parks are even busier. I have no expert at all and am sure others can come up with a better one.

i had that kind of plan on my first trip - it got changed when i got there because unless you are super fit and have the patience of the saint you will have to penceil in rest days.

enjoy your trip.

Hi

Certainly a busy plan. Like Johnny I'd also suggest building another rest day or visit to a water park into your plan but the thing to bear in mind is that there's no right or wrong; it depends on your circumstances - what tickets you have, any children, is it your first time , do you plan on going back again (even if you don't just know, you will after you've been !).

On our first trip in 2000, we missed out Busch and Kennedy and concentrated on the parks close to Orlando. 5 full days at Disney (MK x 2), 2 water park days, 2 at USF and one at Seaworld filled our 14 days completely with some shopping and chill time. We still came home knackered but with great memories.

You could consider dropping one or both of these parks unless this is a once-in-lifetime trip. Ours was in 2000 and I'm already planning our 5th trip for 2007 !!!!

I would echo adding in rest days - I think it may be challenging to do 8 park days back to back :)

Thanks for your advice so far, I will have a re think based on your advice.

I am pretty fit at the moment, running the London marathon in April, hope to be over it by August !

Might drop Busch G. but definately have to go to Kennedy - i want to see a moon rock !

thanks again
