I finally figured out how to take HDR pictures with my Sony a57.
Below are two that I did this afternoon behind Hartwell Dam. This is where the Savanna River begins.

How do they look for a first timer?

How did you process them?

Photomatix is the most common used HDR program i think, its what i use when i do HDR.

What that said your photos looked like that came out fine but the subject is not the most interesting for HDR.

It was done with a program that was included with Sony's Play Memories software this came with the a57.
As for the Geese they just seem to come to me. Other then that they're not to many places to find subjects for HDR pictures so I take what I can get here out in the country.

If you interested in this type of photography I strongly suggest photomatix. I am not very good at using this program and there are plenty of people on this forum that can help you more if you purchase it. The best thing I find with it is that it can bring out shadows and highlights really well. I also find that the more colors in the photo the better.

Here is something I have used it for in the past
