I ordered some Aveda shampoo/conditioner off of Ebay from someone. They had over 200 feedbacks. The only negatives were from those this person bought from..no one this person sold to.

I received my items, and the first thing I do WHENEVER I buy Aveda is smell it. I just LOVE IT! Well, this stuff smells NOTHING like AVEDA!

I just happened to have a haircut today, so at the salon, which sells Aveda, I smelled THEIR stock, just to make sure I wasn't wrong, or had forgotten how it smelled. The first thing I did when I smelled it was go, "aaaahhhhhh, THIS is how Aveda is supposed to smell!" So, I know what's in my bottles is NOT Aveda.

I'm so angry! Yes, yes, my fault...but I thought I did everything right by reading the negative feedbacks and such.

I sent an e-mail to them saying what I thought, and I wasn't mean, but I said I was waiting to leave feedback hoping we could resolve this.

Of course they have the old "no refunds no exchanges" right in the description.

I hate being "taken"!

If you can prove that they lied about what they sold you, you can contact ebay and ebay will go after them. If they lied, just saying "no refunds" in their auction won't cut it. They can not just say that and then send you something else.

Buyers have WAY more rights on EBay than sellers do. The ball is in your court. Contact Ebay and say you suspect fraud.

 Good luck.

I'm not sure how I go about proving they lied. They said it was Aveda and it was the older bottle, but Aveda inside. Well, anyone who likes Aveda can plainly SMELL it's NOT Aveda. How do I prove that.... I just don't know. Hmmm... Bummer! :(

Try contacting Ebay first. You'd be amazed how much they are more likely to take the side of a buyer.

(I know this because I have been on the seller's side and had fraudulent buyers downright LIE to Ebay and I had to reimburse them, even though I had not done anything wrong...I sold something, it broke in transit and the guy informed me of this 12 days after signing for it and since the packing material and missing peice were "gone", I had to give the guy back $85 and let him keep the item  )

Good luck. I hate it when people use Ebay for fraud. This seller should be reported.

Email Ebay. Tell them you suspect you were frauded and see what they say you need to do to prove it.
