This one was at Disney this year in April. We were taking the ferry from Epcot to the Polynesian Resort for dinner.

Not sure why the first image is not showing up, but the link works.

My first attempts at selective coloring! If you have some suggestions, please share them. I don't have PS, I have Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9. Is there a huge difference between the two?

Sorry, I'm not at all familiar with that program... you did a great job though, I love them! :goodvibes

I haven't read thru all the pages yet, but is there a manner of doing selective coloring easy in Microsoft Picture It or even Picasa??? I have been hunting and playing in Picture It but can't seem to get it to work.

disneynut, I totally DIG the fireworks! :thumbsup2

just realized I have a selective image in my sig. Here's the link to larger:

It's the first one I did, so it's not really all that great...

I posted these on the "I'm lovin' Elements" thread, but I guess they belong here, too. Thanks for whoever posted a link to the Photoshop selective coloring tutorial on the About.com website (I think it was back on the 1st page of this thread) - it was REALLY helpful. So many people love the Missing Manual book, but I'm having trouble finding what I need in there. I think I need a good tutorial or class and then use the Missing Manual just as a reference/refresher.

Anyway, here are my first 2 attempts at selective coloring:

Nice job everyone.
I did something a little different this time, here's an old picture of my grandmother, she taught school in a one room school house in IL. That's her and her class. Not sure of the town name but know it was Kane County, this picture was taken in 1903.

Ok...I understand how do to selective coloring and actually have an action that makes it SO easy....but how do I add color like this to a b/w? I've tried this but never liked the results. can anyone maybe point me to a good tutorial on how to get a cool hand colored look?
Thanks!!!!
