Tired, achy feet can really put a damper on a long day at the parks. :sad1: I did some research before this trip and ended up with World's Softest Socks and Clarks Unstructured Shoes. No blisters and no achy feet. I was a happy camper! :thumbsup2

I've purchased the socks both online at this link and at the Hanes, Leggs, Bali outlet.

The shoes aren't the prettiest; but, happy feet won over fashion.

I've tried Smartwool socks and Merrell shoes on previous trips and still had achy feet.

What shoes have you worn that worked for you?

I have been trying to wear Reebok DMX tennis shoes. They have an air pocket cushion that helps ease the impact on my feet. Still haven't found any good socks yet so I'm going to have to try those you recommended. THX.

The socks are thick so they may not work with shoes you already have it you have been wearing thin socks. I love them. They are the only casual socks I wear now.

Even though I know I won't be getting any fashion awards, ;) I still L - O - V - E my maryjane crocs for comfort.
Edited to Add: and yes, I've even made the fashion faux pas of wearing my crocs with socks!

I see all the comments about how wonderful Crocs are. I admit I haven't given them a try. Do your feet really feel OK after several days? They don't look like they have much support.

i'll take the thrill of victory over the agony of the feet anyday.

I think I could live in them. Although they really don't offer much in the line of support, the material they are made out of makes it feel like you're walking on some sort of cushion. Well, not really a "cushion", I'm not really explaining it right. You know how when you buy a new pair of slippers and they are sooo "cushy" until the material breaks down and they're not "cushy" anymore? Well, crocs are like that, but the "cushy" feeling never goes away.
Does that make any sense? lol

Dang. Why didn't you tell me this before now?

What, so now you can't be seen in public with me? How bout if I pinky-swear to never wear socks with my crocs in your presence? :thumbsup2 lol

Ok, now say it, I pinky-swear.......

I have had surgery on both of my feet. I have orthopedic inserts in both of my sneakers, so I cannot offer assistance. If I don't wear them, I don't walk the next day after the parks.

These are my favs too.

Well, you are right--those shoes are not going to win any beauty contests--but if my feet are not happy--I am not happy---and if I am not happy---NOBODY is happy:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Cathy-who believes that fancy shoes are sneakers with patterned canvas.

:rotfl2: No, I meant now you tell me it's a fashion faux pas. I've been wearing socks with my Crocs for years. I thought you were supposed to.:rotfl2: Maybe that's why my kids walk far away from me when we're in public.:confused3

It's ok, I was ridiculed for years for doing it, until I finally had to stop camping.

Crocs are my favorite. I think I have about 10 pair. Everything from flip flops to mammoths for the winter, love 'em. :thumbsup2

;) DH loves his Crocs. I was kinda a doubter since my second toe is more like a finger (Ewww, yeah, I know). It kept hitting the curve of the crocs. Anywho, I bought a pari of "sandals" on sale on line to try them out and they were "pretty good". Last weekend I bought another pair of sandals, with more of a heel and they are even better. So the Croc are looking "up". :thumbsup2

And yes, the skecher sneakers arrived yesterday...so I still have a plan B.

Those look like comfortable shoes. I’ve worn lots of shoes.

Why, if I think hard enough, I bet I can remember my very

first pair of shoes. :thumbsup2
