After our ice cream, it was time for trip through Frontierland.

Because DD wanted to ride

100_2708.jpg

Super Fast Pass to the rescue !!

Bam !! Just like that – we walk right on !!

It is so much fun to ride this with DD. She just laughs the whole way through the ride !!

DH and DS got a regular FP so they could come over and ride while DD and were doing BBB.

Next up was Pirates of the Caribbean – there is no fast pass for this ride so we waited. About 15-20 min. Not too bad. And this is the longest we waited for anything all day. Well besides being stuck on the monorail.

And then we got another Photopass picture or three. The Photographer was dressed up like a pirate wench and she stayed in character the whole time.

She was really fun.

And then it was time for some lunch. So we cut through Adventureland back to Liberty Square to eat here

100_2729.jpg

I ordered while DH snagged us a quiet place upstairs to eat.

DD and DS got Chicken Nuggets

100_2723.jpg

He likes ketchup.

DH and I got the fried shrimp

100_2722.jpg

DH and I really liked this. It was a lot of food. Or view was awesome. We were looking over the courtyard for the Haunted Mansion (and the wait at this time was up to 30 min). For dessert we had Apple Crisp and a Chocolate cake.

100_2724.jpg

DD’s kids meal game with grapes and strawberry yogurt which DS ate while she enjoyed the Choc Cake

We loved this place and thanks to the DIS, we found the upstairs dining room super quiet and much less hectic than downstairs. This was the perfect little oasis for us for lunch and we really enjoyed it.

After lunch, we headed to Tomorrowland. First on the agenda ?? Buzz Lightyear

Instant fast pass !!!

Next up ??

100_2747.jpg

I just love this ride. We walked right on.

100_2750.jpg

Sigh ……. Boys ………

100_2753.jpg

100_2757.jpg

100_2758.jpg

You see that little red rocket ship looking thing ?? It is a water mister. It was so hot that there was a line for it .. seriously.

100_2760.jpg

DS REALLY wanted to ride Space Mountain.

100_2762.jpg

But we wanted to save enough super fast passes for our EPCOT day the next day. And standby was 70 minutes. DS was all ready to get in line and wait, but I said that I would sit out a ride the next day so he could ride it. We had 8 individual super fast passes left and we wanted to use them at Epcot the next day. Four for Soarin’ and four for Test Track. So I said I would sit out of Test Track so he could ride. So we used one for him. I usually ride this with him, but with my back acting up, I wasn’t taking the risk. It was just waaayyy too jerky of a ride. And he was OK riding by himself.

Darn, we are leaving Oct 2, so we can't go together. Pout. Where are staying again ?? I forget.

You are not forgetting..we aren't booked yet. :scared1: Funnily enough I was consulting with DD on the DVC resort of her choice as in most cases, it is turning out to be a good deal cheaper than even staying at Moderate with what I assume with be the AP discount. Anyway, I think we agree BLT is our first choice (she likes the pool there), AKL/V second and BWV third. I told her the reality is it will probably end up being SSR or OKW due to how close our trave dates are, so not to be too disappointed. My hesitaition is the permanance of it. I'm always trying to find another gig, and if find one and can't take the time off..I'm out the money. I've been trying to play around with trip insurance, and the quotes are a little confusing when you are looking at getting cancellation for any reason coverage. What I do know is that we will be staying at Pop 9/30- 10/2. Then we will move. The question is to a DVC resort or to a mod using the AP discount. Those discounts won't be out for a few more weeks. Nail biting time.

LOL. You are so funny.

I didn't notice Disney characters at all. Just that the line queued differently. Maybe they just gave it a good cleaning and repair. It seemed the same to me. :thumbsup2

We have missed the castle show twice this year. Definitely gonna see it next trip for sure. We always started out so early and after dinner, we were always so wiped out. I still don't know how you guys do rope drop to park closing.

In the kind of heat ya'll had during your trip, we don't. Not anymore. Remember that insane heat wave back in 2009? Lesson learned. It is either take a break (that's what we did in May) or call it a day around dinner time.

Pssst - Did you see I got upgraded to Veteran ??? I know I could have changed it any time myself, but I wanted to see when it would happen on its own. :rotfl:
;) :thumbsup2

Did you notice that you have to wait a whole 2 minutes before you can get your next fast pass on those super fast passes. That is so funny to me. Instead of 2 hrs. it is two minutes. LOL!

I love looking at other people's pictures, b/c I notice all sorts of things I don't catch when I'm actually there. For example I never noticed the BTM iron work at the entrance to BTMRR. To busy rushing to get on the ride. Very cool. I also didn't really recongize anything in the PoC queue. It may have been a while since I went down that side. Of course I'm old and haven't ridden it in nearly a year, so.....

I love me some Peoplemover too! You know it's bad when there is a line for that thing. That happened on our last two trips. Space Mountain was down, and the line formed. I think we had to wait 5-10 min. to get on it. It certainly was lovely once we did though.

The upstair at CHH is lovely. I'm not a particular fan of this eatery, but when we do eat here, we go upstairs. It is so quiet and relaxing...wait..I mean it lively and loud a true party! (don't want the secret getting out.)

I'm begining to worry that I'm going to turn more gray waiting on the BBB pics. Way to keep up the suspense! :thumbsup2

Fabulous pictures, Frontierland is one of my favorite places ever! I can't wait to see the new stuff on Haunted Mansion, it looks great. We also LOVE Columbia Harbour House - and I also LOVE ketschup - on everything! You all did a lot of attractions that day, that is awesome! I have never seen the mist thing, interesting! Looking forward to the next chapter!

Not Booked yet ??? What ??? You are in nail biter territory. We have that free week at Silver Lake for this upcoming trip. That is the RCI resort that we like. When my sister gets there on Wednesday (Sept 25), the plan is to move over to a DVC resort and let her family have the villa at Silver Lake. And we haven't booked that DVC portion yet because I am making SURE that Karen and her crew are coming. She likes to do things at the absolute last minute. I can't wait to see what you pick. If I get a last minute point rental e-mail from David's Vacation rentals I will pass it on. Sometimes he has some at a discount a month or two out. And staying at a moderate wouldn't be bad at all for you. There are so many cool places to stay.

LOL .... I didn't notice that about the super fast passes until you pointed that out. That is funny.

I love looking at other people's photos, too. And even MINE. I notice all kinds of little details in photos I take that I didn't even see while I was taking the picture. This is what I love about trip reports, just scrolling through the photos. I won't read a trip report if it doesn't have photos, or if all of the people's faces are blurred out or have a big star on top of them. Seriously, if you are THAT paranoid, don't put your families' photos up or do a trip report at all. Geez.

The Peoplemover (known as the "blue train" in Hannah speak) is one of my faves. It is a really nice place to rest and take in the sights. I have to ride it every trip !!

The upstairs at CHH was so quiet and calm. I am really glad that I found out about it on the DIS. It was so nice to have that seat by the window and watch the people while we were eating. And we were facing the Haunted Mansion, so that was fun. I really liked that place. So we will go back for sure.

BBB pics are coming. I think they are in the next post. After spilling the beans about DVC, I had to get some excitement going. Gotta keep the readers happy :rotfl::happytv::lmao::rotfl2:

I just love the Magic Kingdom. We only had one day there on this past trip, so that is why I took so many photos. Next time we are definitely doing two days. The new Haunted Mansion queue is really cool. You will love it !! We were able to do a lot that day because we had the super fast passes. Without those, and with getting stuck on the monorail, we wouldn't have gotten anything done, I think. Yes, the mister was packed full of people. You had to wait for other people to move in order to get under a mister. We had mister fans with us, so we were OK and didn't have to wait. Next chapter coming up later today !!!

It was finally time for DD and I to head over to the castle so she could get her Princess Makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. She was soooo excited !!

100_2764.jpg

100_2765.jpg

We checked in and the lobby was PACKED. We had a hard just finding a place to stand that wasn’t in the way. There were several families that had brought EVERYONE with them, so there seemed to be a lot of extra people taking up space. And the lobby isn’t very big to begin with.

So we waited ….. and waited ……and waited. While waiting I observed at least three “princesses” that wanted a Rapunzel dress. And they didn’t have any. This made me so happy that I planned ahead. And it also made me think about Carrie in AZ again and how she had helped us get that dress. After about 40 minutes or so they called us back.

100_2767.jpg

Now DD is very chatty. Sometimes we call her the Jabberwocky because she just keeps on Jabbering. Well she got to talking to her Fairy Godmother in Training and just kept up a steady stream of conversation. Her FGIT would ask a question occasionally, but mostly she just smiled and nodded and said Ummm-hmmm a lot.

Photo0206FourBySix.jpg

This is when they turned her around and she saw herself for the first time.

Photo0211FourBySix.jpg

Photo0220FourBySix.jpg

The Photopass Photographer told me that if I had pre-ordered my CD, that I could go over and have her pose pictures put on our PP card and not have to pay $30 for the package. So we paid for the makeover and I paid with a credit card. DH had all of the cash, but I thought that I could put the Fairy Godmother’s tip right on my credit card. But they wouldn’t let me do it. And I felt terrible. And I still feel bad about it. She whispered in my ear that she didn’t do this for the tips, she did for the magic. I thought it was very sweet of her.

Anyway, DD and I headed over to Castle Couture to get her posed photos and there wasn’t anyone waiting so we got photos right away. It only took about 5-10 minutes. And I thought they turned out great !!

DD was so pleased with this experience. And so was I. Just for hair and make-up and some ginger nail polish, it costs around $50. They give you the leftover make-up and since we pre-paid for our CD, we got the pictures for free. So I would definitely do this again. I waited too late to make a reservation and all we could get was 3:20 PM that day. So next time I will plan ahead better and try to get an earlier appointment. That would be the only thing I would change next time.

you DD is just beautiful! You can tell how much she enjoyed from that smile on her face! princess:

Cute, Cute, Cute BBB pics!

That was so nice you didn't have to pay the extra money for the pics since you prepaid for the CD. Do you know if it's that way for other places in WDW that do picture packages (Princess Character Breakfast, Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, etc.)?

I do now. I wish I had known it when I bought the Tusker House breakfast photos. Eh, live and learn. I was really glad that the Photopass lady told me that about the BBB photos. I will always pre-pay from now on !!!

How exciting!!! :cheer2: Are you going to add the dining plan? Making any ADR's yet? Maybe a pre-trip report? We have stayed at BC and love that whole area. When we boat down to HS from BC, I have always thought how peaceful and quiet the BW Villas seemed. Yippee!:yay:

Yes, we got the dining plan and like the complete Disney freak that I am. I have already made ADR's. :rotfl::lmao:

I'm so excited about staying there and being so close to Epcot !!

At this point DH had called me several times wanting to know it we were through. He and DS had used their fast passes to ride Splash Mountain. I was kinda bummed that I didn’t get to ride it. But it was OK. While we were doing BBB, they had gotten some regular fast passes so we could ride BTMRR again.

100_2788.jpg

YAY !! I love this ride !!

100_2789.jpg

We’re gonna die !!!

100_2796.jpg

100_2801.jpg

Beside me, DD is just laughing away ….

You can see some clouds rolling in about this time.

100_2803.jpg

100_2804.jpg

After BTMRR, we took a bio-break and hopped on the train and rode it to the front of the park. DH was going to take all of our photopass cards and get them put all on one card and the Main Street Theater.

This is all that is left of Toontown. Just a little water stop. I would assume that they would re-theme this and open it up again when the new Fantasyland Construction is finished.

100_2817.jpg

100_2818.jpg

100_2819.jpg

So we were going to wait on DH to get the PP photos transferred and head back to the resort. It was about 5:30 PM or so by this time.

100_2820.jpg

More ominous clouds.

While we were waiting, I noticed that the wait time for Mickey was 5 min. and the wait time for the princesses was 10 min !!! I was so happy !! So we jumped in line and got some last minute character photos.

This rabbit made these crunching noises as if he were eating a carrot. His ears also moved and he made these cooing sounds. It was cute.

Ironically, this gave us another Photopass card. Now I know that we can multiple cards, but DH likes to get them put all on one. So we waited again. And when he was finished it started to rain – hard. So we ran over to the Confectionary to wait it out. I wanted to get one more castle shot with DD all made up. So of course the kids had to have some candy and we had snack credits to burn, so that was fine with us. Finally the rain let up and then stopped altogether and we were able to squeeze in this photo

Photo0303FourBySix.jpg

After that the skies opened up again. So we left. By the time we got down to the TTC, it didn’t even look like it had rained there. Summer rain, you gotta love it. We waited for a tram and just as we were stopping at our lot, this HUGE clap of thunder and then some lightening crashed down on us. I screamed out loud and DD started crying. It was quite startling. We made it to the car before the skies opened up again.

Back at the resort, my feet were killing me along with my back, so I took some meds and started to pack and do a last load of laundry. DH and DD went up to Goods To Go to get dinner. And he basically got the same thing as Tuesday night. Burger, Chick nuggets and a hot dog. We had a glass of wine and packed up some more stuff, watched baseball and went to sleep.

Our last night at OKW ……

Pedometer = 17,145 steps = 8.1 miles

Great update and thanks for the PP info. In January, we purchased the PP but we also paid for the Hoop-Dee-Doo photo package :sad2:! Like you said, live and learn. My husband always teases me about the time I spend on the boards, I try to tell him that I learn something new everytime, and thanks to you, today I can put a check in the "learned something new" box!!! :rotfl:

I'm so glad I can help !! My husband used to tease me about being on here all of the time, too. And when we went on our last trip, he said we would never bother me about it again. We went during a very crowded time and didn't wait long for anything at all. My DS said "Mom, this trip is EPIC !!" In my opinion, the DIS is epic !! I can't tell you how much more fun it makes everything !! The information on here is invaluable !!
