A older woman at the security seach for MGM telling the guard as he looked through her rather large cooler

"Make sure you put everything back in as you found it because I spent alot of time packing it"

From an extended family of about 12-14 people following the Fireworks at MK when the line for the boat was backed-up to the entrance turnstiles. One man in the group says

"We could have taken our time, stayed on Main Street, enjoyed some icecream but NOOOOOOO we had to rush to get outside to stand in THIS (pointing to the long line) for TWO HOURS"

Overhead in MK one day:

Young dad looking down at an MK park map, then looking up at Cinderella's castle saying to his small son, "Look! That must be the Magic Kingdom!"

A question I was asked when I was a CM at the GF:

"...I've never been to the MGM Grand before, in that Fantastic show any good?"
Followed by....

"We're going to Disneyland tomorrow...."

I have heard a couple:
When my sister worked at MGM as a cast member, she would constantly have guests come up and ask her what time the 3:00 parade was at. She would just smile and say, 3:00.
On one visit to Cindy's Royal Table, my single older cousin asked Prince Charming where his dad was (flirting) and he responded, with my mom, of course!
:hyper:

"Where do we catch the monorail for Universal Studios?"
Response: Sorry we havent bought them yet.

I also had, "Where do we catch the bus to the MGM Grand?"
My Response: Well that would be long ride to Las Vegas or Disney doesnt have anything to do with gambling.

"If we take the monorail to MK it stops inside and we dont have to pay for a ticket."
I tried to explain it wasnt possible but she insisted. I could just see her taking her kids over getting off at the entrance, the family standing there looking as the Mom said we are not going in because I am not paying for tickets. I felt so bad for those kids.

Okay, this wasn't at WDW but at SeaWorld...when I heard it I almost fell over laughing...I will try and get the accent right:

We are exiting the Shamu stadium, and lo and behold it's the Clydesdale horses from the Budweiser commercials; a lady right by us screams, "Oh, look honey, it's those hoises from the bieeehr commoicel!!!!!!" Sorry all of you Long Islanders, or perhaps New Jerseyites, but it was completely classic and hilarious- the accent killed me---the accent and completely stating the obvious...why, yes, it is those horses from the beer commercial...
::yes::

"Oh look, that's the Caribou Beach Resort."

"How fast does Test Track go?" "Around 220 mph."

"You know they closed the Polynesian Resort, don't you?"

This one is from a Transportation CM:

After trying three times unsuccessfully to tell us which bus stop he would be picking us up at ("Ok, folks, I'll be at bus stop #8, I mean #10, bus stop 10--wait, no, bus stop #9--right, bus stop #9). As we were getting off the bus, I heard him say, "OK, no more drinking for me this morning." ;)

**He was, of course, joking!**

Kids say the funniest thing sometimes...

From a trip three years ago. We are on a bus in DTD waiting to go to CSR. A southern couple with thier young daughter are sitting accross from us and she is pointing to the characters on her backpack "Mickey and Minnie and Pluto and a duck " She said it with such disgust in her voice!

While we were waiting for the bus to start moving she would peek around the corner at the dirver and say "Home!", hoping that would prompt him to start driving.

On a recent trip (last week). Getting on a bus from Coronado to somewhere the driver had to help a lady in an electric wheelchair get on the bus. She drove it on and couldn't parallel park it so she got up and let the driver push it into the right place while she sat in a seat. A young boy next to us says to his parents, rather loudly, "If she can walk then why does she need that?"

Had to join in.
DD now 21 when she was 4 and getting on Cinderella's Carosel(SP?) "Penny Daddy" She was thinking of those horses outside of stores she loved.

Bus driver when putting lady on one of those electric carts on the lift to go down "Tower of Terror"

My friend overheard this one in Animal Kingdom in Asia "those are the mommy tigers, the daddy ones are in Africa (the lions)

At BB we overheard a woman telling her son " if you don't stop grabbing women they will ask us to leave"

We were waiting to be let into the preshow area of The Living Seas. Finially we see a CM come out of the door, no not ready, he just grabed the broom and dustpan and dissappered for almost a miute. Comes back ot the door, tells us that during the presentation " no eating or drinking, including snacks , including pistachios"

We all laughed and he mumbles " someone really went to town with pistachios"

Funny that he mentions pistachios, and I can't imagine someone throwing pistachio shells on the floor and I never really thought of pistachios as a convient snack to carry around.

Several years ago, after spending all day at MK, we took a boat ride to WL for dinner. After a while, our three-year-old daughter asked the captain if the ride was real or a special effect. The captain nearly fell over laughing! Our poor daughter could no longer distinguish between reality and fantasy. My husband and I agreed that that was what Disney is all about!

Thie is from the Disney Cruise Line........

When our ship was leaving the dock at Castaway Cay, the island CM stood on the dock and waved "goddbye" to us with those big, white, Mickey gloves. We were standing on our verandah watching when I heard somebody shouting from a nearby balconey, "Everybody get out here now and wave back. We paid a lot of money tjust to see them wave good-bye to us!" The guy was serious about it, too. He made the whole family stand and watch until the island was not longer in site.
