Hi guys! I write you because I am looking for some novits, of the close examinations on the women's role through the films of the walt disney; in fact my oral examination calls the role of the women in the walt disney, the problems are the sources, the historical informations,
according to you for how much it concerns the history things to say of this matter?...
I am Italian and this forum is fantastic

You could look at these two books: the first one argues that Disney represents women in sexist, stereotypical, negative ways:

Bell, Elizabeth, Lynda Haas, and Laura Sells, eds. From Mouse to Mermaid: the Politics of Film, Gender, and Culture. Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1995.

And this one argues the opposite: that Disney is pro-feminist in its portrayals of women:

Brode, Douglas. Multiculturalism and the Mouse: Race and Sex in Disney Entertainment. Austin: University of Texas Press, 2005.

I apologize it will be all right but is difficult because there are opposite things about girls in walt disney contest... strange....
