My fiance and I got engaged four years ago and since then I've gone through 3 engagement rings (I'm not one for rings, they drives me nuts), so somehow I managed to either misplace or snap the band each time...:worried:

After 3 we gave up...lol. The third one the stone actually fell out on me. UGH!

So for some time we had talked about an unconventional engagement ring, maybe a tattoo would work...lol, maybe something else to signify our engagement a necklace or something similar.

Well we were in the Magic Kingdom Friday and we found it... it's perfect! We both LOVE Disney so the theme of it is great, we purchased it in the little jewlery/art shop under the castle. So what do you think?

(The photo doesn't do it justice, it's really shiny and the stones just shimmer)

It's got a good thick band, so no more breaking...lol and the stones are set into the ring not ontop so no chance of loosing a stone (I'd have to try really hard). I know it's not the norm, but I think it's cute! Of course now it's on my finger and not in the box and hopefully this time all will work out.

I think it's beautiful and different!!! Good choice! :thumbsup2

I can't wear my engagement right now because it is too small. :( I have to get it resized!!

Now I told him we'll have to find something really creative for our wedding band...lol Maybe now I'll stop getting, "well if your engaged where is your ring..." =o)

If I were to ever get engaged that would be the perfect ring IMO. I hope this one works out for you.

Oh wow, are those real diamonds? If so I bet it was expensive, if not I WANT ONE, ROTFLOL!!!!!!

I have a Mickey Wedding Band that was bought at Downtown Disney! I love it!

Do you have a photo of the Mickey band? I'd love to see some Disney Wedding bands as we plan on hopefully getting married on Castaway Cay (Disney's Private Island).

Love it! My DH bought me the swarovski crystal bracelet, I think its probably from the same line. Now I want your ring!!! Mine was very shiny when I got it, but after just a few days of constant wear it wasn't as sparkly. Make sure you read how to clean it before disposing of any info!
Congratulations! I love it!
Katy

Speaking from experience here. :(
Watch that you do not get Mickey caught on something, it can break off.

These are the earrings he also got me that afternoon. I think they are adorable. Did I mention I love this man?!?! ;o)
And it was his birthday.

They actually are crystal and not diamond, we were working with a budget...lol. But I love it just the same. I didn't see any instructions, how do you clean it?

I have no clue, I was hoping you knew! I misplaced the little pamphlet that came with it. Maybe we can figure it out on the swarovski website or something. Sadly my bracelet came apart and I'm missing a link, so I need to find a someone to repair it.

Love the earrings too!

I just found this:

"Never wear your jewelry in the bath, in bed, doing dishes or when exercising. This can cause unreasonable stress and wear and tear. Store your jewelry in the soft pouch or box provided by Swarovski to prevent scratching."

I hope my ring will be ok if I don't remove it all the time, I didn't think you were supposed to remove engagement rings, of course a Mickey one made of Swarovski crystal is a bit different but still the same in my mind.

This is what I found on their website, hope it helps:

"Frequently asked questions
Care of Swarovski crystal jewellery
To keep your jewellery looking sparkling and lustrous, observe the following care guidelines:

Storing
Always store each piece of jewellery separately to avoid items being scratched, this is particularly relevant to the simulated pearls.
Travel with crystal jewellery pieces packed in their own protective pouches to minimise scratches.

What to avoid
The jewellery may be damaged by direct contact with sprays such as hairsprays, perfumes, deodorants or detergents and salt water. Add jewellery last when dressing.

When not to wear
Never wear jewellery in the bath, in bed or when exercising. This can cause unreasonable stress and wear and tear.

Cleaning
An occasional polishing with a soft cloth will help to maintain its original lustrous finish.
If jewellery is very dirty, wash your jewellery from time to time using warm water, a mild detergent and a soft tooth brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water prior to drying with a clean cotton cloth. This only applies to jewellery set with only crystal.
Do not, however, immerse pieces in water.
Do not use sonic cleaners, boiling water or ammonia cleaners.

Cleaning Pearls: Do not wash the simulated pearls - these should just be buffed with a soft dry cloth."

That's really cute. But a word of caution since you seem to be hard on rings. I don't know it that Mickey part will last too long. :guilty: Its just held on by one O ring...very easy to come off. :guilty: If its real diamonds, better get it insured. If not real diamonds, probably won't last long. Any jewelry I've ever bought at WDW has fallen apart. :guilty: :sad2:

I like it though!!

If thats the fact.....HE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEESSSS YOU!!!:lovestruc

Be nice to him on Valentines day!!!!!!!

ps....latest Engagement ring:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 perfect!

No offense but, dont buy that trash, get a real diamond.

Wow, no offense taken but that was harsh. I've had three diamond rings, I have terrible luck with rings. Hence why I refuse to let my honey spend anymore money on "the real thing" when I'm just as happy with this. And it means more to me because it's different.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and what one man sees as trash another sees as treasure. The question is why one earth would someone add negative vibes to a positive post. Because the value of the item shouldn't matter, but rather the love and thought that went into it.
