I was wondering if any one knows what happen to Greg Coot. He was my guide when I recently purchased at SSR over the phone. I was excited to meet him on our first trip in 32 days (but who's counting) but I just got a call from Ron Rybak and he is now my new guide. He didn't sound as fun as Greg...I could be wrong.

Under most circumstances DVC members will not be privy to why any particular guide has left their position with DVC. You may assume they have relocated, taken another job, been promoted, etc.

Might be hard to judge a new guide from a phone call, I would suggest that you probably will not need to deal with your guide in any case, unless you are seeking to purchase additional points.

I sent you a PM. It's actually a nice story but not sure I'm able to post it.

Greg was our guide also when we purchased in 1994 and would like to know what happened to him as he was there for a long time. He was a good guy who we visited everytime we were in WDW. My new guide is in Chicago! Not sure how that will work.

We also had done everything with Greg right up to the point when we toured and then ultimately purchased. I had set up to meet Greg and tour with him this past June and when we scheduled at the DVC desk, they said that Greg was not available. We ended up getting a different guide and ultimately bought from her - Greg should have gotten the money since he had done the work over 2 years to assist us in making our ultimate decision to buy.

From what I understand, they will both get the commissions since they both worked on the sale. This is how our guide explained it to us since the same thing happened here.

That's what happened to us. Judy K had sent us info on DVC, but when we impusively decided to do a tour while at WDW, she was not available that day. So we did the tour with Mark who we eventually closed with, but both were to get commissions. Almost immediately, we got notice that Judy K was fully assigned to us as I think Mark had left (he was on the automotive side before and those guys tend to bounce around a lot). Judy has been nice over the phone, but we've never met. We do need to call her as I think DW wants an AKV add on....
