My DS just did something dumb...have you?

This post is inspired by my DS. She just called me to say that a car stopped short in front of her & she rear ended it because she couldn't stop in time. (No one was hurt.) Anyway, a cop pulls up to assist & asks my DS to move her car out of the way, so she backs up.....RIGHT INTO THE PATROLMAN'S CAR!!!! I know I shouldn't laugh but it is sooooooooooooo funny!

Has anyone else done any funny/dumb things lately?

Not lately, but when I was 16 and went to take my driver's test I kinda tapped the police car next to me when I was pulling into the parking lot. The tester failed me. Can't imagine why.

A friend of mine sideswiped a police car once, LOL! The only bad expereince Ive had with cops was I was driving down a 1 way street the wrong way(I didnt know where we were and my friend was giving me directions ). All of a sudden bright lights went on, shining right on us. Yep, a cop car was parked right at the end of the street. He was nice though. He gave us directions to get back to the highway.

Not like that, but oh about 32 years ago when I got my driver's license the trooper who gave me my driving test passed me I think because he didn't want me back. He had this cigar in his mouth the whole time. About to cause my poor contact eyes to cry uncontrolably. He says to stop. I stop. Very suddenly. And he bites his cigar in two pieces. I just knew I had failed but I passed. Ah to be 16 again!!!

I'm sorry you're going to have to deal with all that insurance stuff, but that is too funny. Have you called your agent yet? I'd tell him in person and see if he can keep a straight face.

When my friend took her driver's test, she misunderstood the question the officer asked her. He asked her, "What do you do when you change your address?" She thought he said, "What do you do when you change your dress?" She thought he was a pervert and went off on him. ROTFLOL!! He didn't think it was funny. He couldn't imagine why she was yelling at him, "Have you lost your mind? That's none of your business!! I'm going to report you ..." Ahahahahaha!!! She failed her test, but I don't think it was for that.

And speaking of failing driver's tests. I almost failed mine for hitting "imaginary" parked cars. The instructer told me that i was driving to close to the side of the road and if there were cars there I could've hit them. I just wanted to yell: BUT THERE WERE NO CARS!!! Had there been cars, I wouldn't have hit them, trust me.

That is almost as bad as the time my DH and I had a head on collision.....With each other....In our own driveway!!! You should have heard our insurance agent laugh when we called him on that one!

Whenever you rear end someone you are always at fault. I know, it has happened to me 4 times -- me being the rearended one. I had to slam on my brakes in the middle of a highway once, there was a huge log in the middle of the road. It caused a huge 20 car pile-up in the paper. Everyone was fine, thank goodness and all got cited except for me. You are supposed to have your car under control at all times.
