I'm working on finishing up my pretrip-trip report so that I can get on to planning for the BIG trip :thumbsup2 I'll get it posted as soon as I finish!

yes... you did leave us hanging a little there :)

Sunday morning I woke up giggling.. I swear, I was actually giggling as I was coming out of my slumber :goodvibes I woke up so unbelievably happy and the day was only about to begin!

Game plan: Eat free continental breakfast and hit USO!!

We finally make it downstairs around 9:00- the breakfast room was swarming in cheap people like us, trying to make the most of their free breakfast.... a bowl of cereal and a danish later, we're on the road!

First US stop- The Simpsons Ride- love love love this ride- my favorite US ride-it's right up there with the Mummy for me... anyways Next stop- Men In Black- his favorite... wanna hear something really girly??? That's his favorite ride.... His favorite ride and my favorite ride are right next to one another ::yes:: ------------> okay, that's was stupid, I know :rotfl2: We make our way around US and we stop for an early lunch- nothing special, but we ate before heading over to IoA.

IoA- It's only 11:30 and we... .errr... *I* decided to begin with Dr. Seuss. BIG mistake. By the time we make it around to Spiderman- it's hot, crowded, and the wait times aren't all that good... after buying me an icecream we decide to call it a day head back to his apartment complex to go swimming... possibly take a nap... and then head out to DTD for a little WOD and AC! :cool1:

After getting all dolled up for our third date of the weekend we head to DTD... :lovestruc He knew I wanted a new plush - and I especially wanted one that would remind me of our first weekend/date together. So we get out of the car and what do you know.. yep- there he goes, walking waayyy ahead of me again. This time we come to an understanding. He can go as far ahead of me as he wishes and I'll catch up later ;) He just blamed me for being slow- I blamed him for being in a damned hurry  We compromised... I tried to walk a little quicker and he only walked a few steps ahead of me. :thumbsup2 As we get through PI and head into DMP, he starts whining about tourists and tells me they sell plushes at wal-mart. I know they sell plushes at wal-mart... and at this point I honestly had had enough of the cheap-butt whining ... I tell him that if he'd rather he could just wait for me at Ragland Road :snooty: Funny how we had already reached that level of comfort around one another :lmao: We get to WOD and I'm still kind of miffed... but we make our way to the plushes and I pick out an eeyore - However, I look over and Handsome Stranger was eying the Stitch plushes...my heart fluttered when I remembered one of our early getting-to-know-you emails where he had said that he thought he was most like stitch. I couldn't help myself- I chose Stitch :lovestruc I told him that he would always be guaranteed that I'd be thinking of him while cuddling with Stitch every night- I'm a romantic sap, I know :cutie:

With Stitch in tow, we head over for dinner at Ragland Road *Yummy!* I had the fish n' chips and he had bangers n' mash. Now, for the most important part of dinner- DESERT :woohoo: I promised him I'd write about the desert, afterall, it does deserve a write-up! What did Handsome Stranger order for us that sent me into a state of orga....err... umm... karmic bliss??? Bread & Butter Pudding :cloud9: If you've never tried this stuff- it's a must. It isn't your ordinary bread & butter pudding... no sir! It's like sucking heaven right out of your spoon and into your mouth! Trust me on this recommendation- if you're going to dtd, make sure you stop in, order a Kahlua & Coffee w/ Bread & Butter Pudding- you won't be sorry:thumbsup2

Up next... another pissy moment erupts when I get on Handsome Strangers nerves...

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We leave Ragland Road and it's getting close to 8:30- Handsome Stranger offered a back-handed gesture that was ultimately kind and gracious in the end- evidently he didn't want to have to babysit me AND Stitch at the AC so he offered to take Stitch back to the car.... alone... that way he could walk as fast as he wanted without having to wait on me to catch up:lmao: Not even 5-10 quick minutes go by when he makes it back to the steps of the AC. It's just a couple of minutes until the doors open so we stand in line. He starts fidgeting and messing with his hair- takes a few deep breaths... looks around- Now in all fairness to me, in my little world of law enforcement, this is a classic look of "nervous." So I ask him "Are you okay? You look a little nervous?" (or something like that, I don't remember what my exact words were.) He quickly snaps back with "What? Can't a guy just be hot and out of breath from running out to the car and back?" :headache: Doh! It hadn't occurred to me actually but #1, you don't have to be a jerk about it and #2 whatev. He apologizes for being snippy and I know I apologized in my head but I don't remember if ever I said sorry for not thinking... **In defense of us both- neither one of us knew one another and had just spent about 30 hours straight with one another at this point. Usually when you have a first date, you go out, spend a few hours together and call it a night- Well, we were still together and were a bit tired and cranky from a long hot day at the park and at the risk of sounding like a battered wife, we were both pissy and snippy. It was only a matter of time before someone snapped. Moving on...

The Adventurer's Club- my virgin experience...

003.jpg

We go inside and he points out some of the details of the club. Absolutely gorgeous! We head downstairs and perch ourselves at the bar. He orders a beer for himself and a Kungaloosh for myself :woohoo:
005.jpg

006.jpg
Me enjoying the Kungaloosh.

About halfway into my drink, a couple of friends of the Handsome Stranger come in. We're all initiated into the club as honorary members and we make our way to the chair closer to the library At some point, introductions were made among his friends and I and we're moved into the Library for the first show. Even thought I'm drinking on a full tummy, these little fruity drinks are a little deceiving and they sneak up on you! At this point, I'm drinking my Kungaloosh, laughing hysterically, and having the time of my life. :offtopic: **Some kid named "Ben" is there celebrating his 21st birthday- the kid was on my flight home the following day- at 4 something in the afternoon on the following day and the kid is still hungover :rotfl: Overall, it's a lot to take in, but worth every minute. Things begin to get a little fuzzy after my second Kungaloosh... at some point I was the Virgin Sacrifice in the show but still don't understand the significance of it :rolleyes1 ) Also, at some point, one of his friends suggests that I try another house specialty drink.. I don't remember what it was but it was mighty good would love to have this drink again when we go back in a couple of weeks :drinking1

Before the final show- we decided to leave. It was late and the Handsome Stranger had to be at work the following morning. It was our last little while together and we wanted to be alone  We get back to the hotel and fall into bed. We hold onto one another very tightly and fall asleep quickly. Before I know it, it's morning and my ELVIS alarm tone is yelling at us "Little less conversation..." He hurries out the door so that he can get ready for work. Even though my flight wasn't until 3:00, he would have to come pick me up on his lunch hour, as he couldn't get the morning off to be with me. At 11:00 I check out of the hotel and go outside. He pulls up within a couple of minutes to take me back to the airport. I was so unbelievably sad. I wasn't ready to leave him yet. The only thing that made the ride out to the airport bearable was his Mickey Mouse tie and the fact that I knew that I'd be seeing him again in a few short weeks. I kept tearing up and turning my head away so that he couldn't see :sad2: When we got to the airport, he pulled up to the drop-off and I got out. I couldn't look as he pulled away... but it didn't matter. I didn't even make it 2 steps before breaking down :sad1: The airtran counter agent gave me a comforting hug and told me that it would be all right. Yeah right

The only thing that could make me feel better at that moment was a walk to to the MCO Disney store... both of them... twice... :thumbsup2

THE END... or as I like to now think, "THE BEGINNING"

I don't think so, I think it was a simple case of him running out to the car and then running back to the club :rotfl2: That just goes to show us women can misjudge a situation entirely...

LOL... I was just sort of throwing that out there as another option... LOL

HOW MUCH LONGER FOR DISNEY??? :cool1:

Sha, just 14 more sleeps to go!

Rebecca, I loved hearing about your Orlando trip. Glad to see you made it to the AC and I'll have one less AC virgin to worry about inducting in a couple of weeks. It'll just be your Dad and my sis who will be first-timers. Do we get to meet the Handsome Stranger at the JR meet? ;)

I loved sharing my Orlando trip with ya'll! :goodvibes I helped me relive it- my best friend is a guy and I know he's glad I had another venue to share the story to ::yes::

Unfortunately HS will not be able to join us at JRs... he'll be on a Disney Cruise :upsidedow I'm jealous- I've always wanted to go on a cruise but have never been... maybe in a couple of years (after the Disneyland trip) we can all sign up for a Disney singles cruise??? :confused3 Regardless, we're still going to have a great time at JRs and if you really want to meet him, I'm certain that he'll be around for the AC ;)

**Sweet sappy story: was on the phone with HS last night and we were trying to come up with a new nickname for him (since he isn't a stranger any more!) He suggested "boyfriend" :jumping1: Of course, he also suggested "my man... lol" I think we finally settled on "He who must be obeyed" :rotfl:

***Not such a sweet sappy story: I appreciate all of the pixie dust you guys have been throwing my way lately... it kinda worked (but don't get excited on me!) I spoke with the Judge this morning- you know, the one that had the connections in Florida? Well, he spoke to his connection for me. His connection turns out to be over the Florida Department of Corrections' Central Office in Orlando. I was told that they can bring me in with a 10% pay increase but in would be in a job that I would HATE. However, the money and the location is right :confused3 My gut reaction was to say "thanks but no thanks," but instead I thanked him for looking out for me and told him I'd see him for lunch tomorrow... I immediately emailed HS to get a 2nd opinion- Afterall, I could always get down there and really begin a job hunt... Anyways, HS basically told me what I already knew: Having a job that you really hate can mess up every other part of your life. When I move, I want it to be a positive experience- I don't want to dread going to work everyday. Think I'm making the wrong decision??

thinks this ties into the status somewhere that said "owned" :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I agree... you dont want to come to a job you dont like

Okay girls.. enough about the Hansome Stranger (I finally got all the gushing out of me lol..) Guess what! I ordered my costume and I already have a tracking number! :yay:

Here it is!
piratewench.jpg

I have a black canvas corset that I'm going to wear, instead of the cheap plastic one that comes with the costume- also, just sorta-kinda match dad, I'll be sporting the pirate-princess-Mickey ears (whew! Say that 5 times fast!) :lmao:

pirateprincessearhat2.jpg

Now all I have to do is put together my check-list, finish making my Disney Daughter tee, and start packing!! 14 sleeps to go!! :woohoo:

I was looking back through and forgot to mention that I was up at the Disney Outlet a few weeks ago and bought a few tees for the trip! I bought 2 for myself and then 1 for dad. He's a plain and simple kinda guy, doesn't like the fussy graphic tees so unfortunately there wasn't much to chose from for him. Anyways, without further adieu, here are my $5.00 tees!!

God I love being a tourist

Wow, I can't get on the net for a week because of my stupid phone line & all sorts of wonderful things happen for you. Congrats on meeting HS or he who must be obeyed. I agree about not taking the job, I just turned one down that required me to relocate away from my family & it just didn't feel right plus it was further away from WDW & we can't have that.
What exactly is on the Simpson's ride, we went to US last year & are considering a day trip next month?

:wave2: Hi Tink! I wondered where you had been! I'm glad you finally caught up! You did miss quite a bit!

I don't blame you for turning down a job that would take away from your family. I don't have anything holding me in Atlanta... and let's be real honest- I can't stand it here. :sad2: Where did they want you to relocate to??

One of my current bosses is starting his own company in Mississippi this has put a big strain on the business as he is taking most of our workers with him & I don't know if our company will survive. I'm probably going to get a new job anyway as my hours have been cut back due to lack of work but I want to stay near my family. So wish me luck in finding a new job, I'm going to need it as I have not had to for 11 years & I have to blow the dust off my resume.:sad2:

Oh Tink :sad2: I'm sorry to hear that. I know how frustrating it can be looking for work- so I wish you mucho luck! I'm sure the right opportunity will come along!

We'll definitely be doing at least one AC trip, so hopefully I'll get to meet your man. If we plan one of the AC trips for Sept 19, then Sha and Jen2 can meet us all there that evening. We can celebrate with Kungalooshes because those photos of you sipping on one made me mighty thirsty.

I agree with everyone else, Rebecca. It's not worth it if you hate the job, and would dread going to work. You want to move for the right reasons, and for the right job. I think we're all past the point of settling for just any job, and we realize how important it is to really enjoy our work and the colleagues with whom we work. We spend so much of our lives at work. The right job will come along, my friend, just like the right man has at the right time.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and 'he who has no name'.
I like that pirate costume! and the shirts!
Sounds like you are ready to go.
