My vacation started with the arrival of my boyfriend, Daniel, and friends, Gretchen and Jason (another couple). Gretchen and Jason stayed at a timeshare. Daniel checked in to my lovely apartment. That's right, free lodging! Yay! We all went to dinner that night and planned on spending the next day at Epcot.

So morning arrives and we all get to Epcot in the late morning/ early afternoon. We start out with Spaceship Earth, which is my signature Epcot nap ride, but it was too early for a nap. So I listened to Daniel's jokes instead. He thinks the translation of the pointing caveman is "Pull my finger. Trust me, it is a funny joke. Pull my finger." So he spent the entire time of the attraction joking about the evolution of the pull my finger joke. He is such a charming guy.

After Spaceship Earth it was off to Guest Relations to make PSs. Gretchen and Jason got a PS for the San Angel Inn in Mexico and Daniel and I got a PS at the same time for Le Cellier in Canada. Then we got Test Track FPs.

After that we all went on the new Journey into Imagination ride. It was the first time for all of us. Gretchen loves Figment, so she was excited about it. I thought the funniest part of the ride was the page for Merlin Jones to pick up his escaped monkey as we walked through the non-existant queue. The actual attraction was good too. You would think that the part in the sound area with the train would not startle me, but it always does. I liked the new attraction much better than the non-Figment one, but I would rather it had never been changed at all.

Next was Honey I Shrunk the Audience, where I always know when to put my feet up. That is very important, but I love listening to everyone else scream.

Then it was lunch time at the food court in the Land. We all had small meals to save room for our nice dinners later in the evening. After lunch we went to Food Rocks. It is sort of cheesy, but I get a kick out of the show. Yay! We all learned important food trivia reading the walls while we waited. Jason decided that he wanted to go on the Living with the Land attraction, so we got FPs for that. Then we went to the Living Seas where we saw a lot of fish. Unfortunately, the manatee area was down for rehab, so no manatees this time.

Then we went to Ellen's Energy Adventure, which was a nice, relaxing ride. I thought the funny part about this attraction was that everyone seemed to have squished into a couple cars, because some of the cars were completely empty. We still had some time to use up before we could use our FPs, so we went to Innoventions and Ice Station Cool. Daniel likes to drink Beverly (the Italian one) and talk about how delicious it is. Then some poor, unsuspecting person takes a big gulp of it. Haha! I do not fall for this and stick to the lemony soda from Israel and Vegi-Beta from Japan.

We then used our FPs. First was Test Track. Daniel made sure we had a special picture. When we approached the camera he said, "Okay, it is about to take our picture, so make sure to look pretty." And then he turned and kissed me! I was almost embarrased to look at our picture, but I could not help myself. I laughed so much over that! Then we did Living with the Land and then dinner.

Le Cellier was very nice. I had the salmon, which is my favorite entree. Daniel had prime rib, which he seemed to enjoy. The only disappointment was that Le Cellier no longer has the little computer pagers that my mother and I used in February. We watched the Monsters, Inc. trailer, took a Canadian quiz, sent e-postcards and such while waiting for our table in February. Overall, it was a very nice meal. Afterwards, we met Gretchen and Jason, walked out of the park during fireworks and went home.

Coming Soon... Day II, Disney-MGM Studios

Sounds like a good day! I love the Imagination ride though nothing is going to beat the original. Le Cellier is one of my fave restaurants...especially the cheese soup...yum!!!
