Day 4 - MGM Saturday, April 21st.
Today started out a bit slow, we woke up on time but we had to make sure everything was packed for our seperate departures. Cookie had to leave by 3:00 to catch her flight and I wanted to leave sometime before 5:00 do that I did not have to drive in the dark. So we met Sue for breakfast and then off to the ferry boat to wait for Teri and family and Debbie and family. The boat picked us up shortly after 10:00 and out day started. Can you guess what was first on the agenda? Nope not RNR, it was Tower of Terror.
The sign said it was only a 15 min wait but it was longer than that so Fast Pass it was. Somehow the group mangaed to get FP for Rock N Roller Coaster too. We had time to kill so we headed to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. On the way we ran into Nancy and her SIL. We talked for a moment and then got into line that went quickly. We were in and I guess we just were not smart enough today either. None of us made it to the hot seat. I do think that at one point one of us were in the top 10. Time to go back and do TOT and RNR which I did not do neither of them so Savannah (Teri's DD) and I went shopping till they were done.
Around 1:30 we headed to the ABC Commissary for lunch and a couple had ice cream afterwards too. After lunch it was time for Cookie to leave us to go back home to New Jersey.
We all hugged her bye and she left. The rest of the group decided to leave to so it was just Sue and I. We wanted to see Beauty and the Beast (neither of us had the privledge of seeing this before) so we stayed at the park. She convinced me to stay and see Fantasmic and crash in her room for the night. How could I refuse that? (thanks again Sue)
Beauty and the Beast was great, my 2nd favorite Disney movie. We walked around some more and decided to go to WWTBAM so that we could be a cool place and rest so that way we went. It was so darn hot that day too. I was exhausted but I did my best to survive the day. I was determined to see Fantasmic!! (yes something else that was a first for me!!) We also made sure to catch the Disney Stars and Motorcade Parade. That was cool seeing all the playhouse Disney characters. My god-daughter would have loved it! We did the Great Movie Ride next, the line was about 20 mins. It was a neat experience. I was getting sleepy but I stayed awake!!
After that ride we made our way to the place for Fantasmic. We got there after 7:00 I believe so we had quite a wait but it was so worth it. Did you know that the Swan & Dolphin turned off their outside lights during this? Me neither, Sue told me! I learned something!! Sure enough, right before the show started I looked over and the hotel was dark.
Fantasmic was great. This poor little girl behind us did not think so though, she was cying/screaming throughout most of the show. Poor thing
I liked all of the different elements in the show, it was cool. It was kinda hectic trying to get out of there, they had people packed in! I think we made it back to the room around 10:00. We did not meet up with anyone else, we stayed in the room and just relaxed.
Tomorrow morning was home for me.....
