My Disney Store is Closing

My Disney Store is closing. :-( We were there on Saturday and I could tell something was not right. They were having a huge sale of 50-80 percent off. They did not have the plush mountain anymore, no pins, and no snowglobes. And only two workers were there. I overheard those two cast members talknig about getting the notice on Wednesday. They said 43 stores are closing. And they are taking it really badly. I am to. Thats the only store I go to at the mall. Now there is no reason for me to go.

And for those of you who are wondering this store is in the Dayton Mall in Dayton OH.

In all honesty whenever I go into the stores now there isn't much there that I find like I used to years ago. Not much adult stuff or collectibles. The outlets are fun because its a gamble -its hit or miss. But I just wish the stores would bring back their old merchandise!!!!

Nebraska is now down from three to one DS.
The one in Lincoln closed just recent.
But again, nothing to buy, does it much matter? I would miss the CM's though.

One I live near just closed in Boston a few months ago.

I hope the one that I live close to in Burlington doesn't close. Then I'd be in trouble. I don't live near any others.

The one in Natick MA which had an art store attached to it closed. I went there last week and was stunned to see it had closed. From what I'm reading the decline probably wasn't helped by the change in contents at the store.

That's the thing. The inventory isn't helping any. Delaware, believe it or not had 3 Disney Stores. One closed and we do have 2 but I wonder how well they are doing. They practically thanked me on bended knee for pre-ordering Treasure Planet the other day.

Many people (CM's included) defend their current merchandise selction, stating how well this kid's stuff sells. If it so good, why do they have to close all these stores?

I understood that the Natick Disney Store closed in its location (the building separate from the mall) & will reopen in a new location in one of the many malls/shopping centers along that road. I think I also read that the Gallery part of the Store will be no more .
