My Disney Store is Closing too.....Milwaukee

There is a Disney Store in Wisconsin Dells. It's still quite a distance for me but it's the closest one I have. Not sure it it's closing or not, but next time I'm there I'll have to look. I always try to stop and pick up items for myself and gifts for others. I would hate to see it close.

Where in the Dells is the Disney Store...I never knew there was one there! Is it at the Tanger Outlet Mall?

This is great news since I know we will be in the Dells this summer, before our Disney trip.

I wasn't aware of one in the Dells either.....this is great news! We only get to the Dells in the summer, but it will be nice to visit the store when we go! I'm guessing it must be at the outlet mall as well......

Yep-It's the Mayfair location that is closing. I live in Ozaukee County, and it was the closest one for me. Southridge Mall has really gone downhill over the years so I won't even go there anymore. Online shopping is just not as much fun, but I guess that is what I must do! Nice to see other Wisconsin folks on the DIS!

Southridge is not a good mall hey? That's too bad. I never shop there, always go to Brookfield square or Mayfair, but figured it wouldn't be too bad to try going there. Won't be if it's not safe. Thanks for the heads up.

Both of the Disney stores near us are closing. It couldn't believe that both of them are! There is not another one near us!

You must be referring to the Galleria & Boulevard Mall. I feel your pain. I had thought at least one would have remained open. I guess there will be one in Rochester....if you feel like driving for an hour. Guess it's on-line all the time.

The Disney Store in Wisconsin Dells is at the Tanger Outlets. It is a Disney Outlet. Haven't heard if it is staying open. I hope they are - they usually have great deals!

I really liked the one at Mayfair and I'm sad its closing I go to school down in Milwaukee and back where I'm from they closed the Disney Store at our local mall many years ago, so when I'm at home I can't go to a Disney store. Now this one is closing too, booo! The only other mall I go to there is Bayshore and they don't have a Disney Store lol

I'm sorry I didn't get back to the posters who asked about the WI Dells store sooner. The Tanger Outlet Mall is just off of the I90/I94 exit by the Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari Lodge, there's also a Damons, a movie theater, a Cracker Barrel etc. I just can't remember what the exit number is off hand - I think it's #92 but I'm not sure. I hope it's going to stay open as well. Does anyone have any idea as to the dates that the stores will be closing that are on the list to be closed? Is it real soon?

I'm up near Sheboygan and I'm bummed another Disney Store is closing.

Southridge is quite a bit out of my way. Mayfair wasn't quite so bad. I remember a few years ago when Disney was at Bayshore. Wow, has that area changed!

A Disney Store at Bayshore?? I don't think there was ever one there, I live about 5 minutes away from Bayshore. But maybe now that they redid the whole thing they should put one in...that would rock.

I was just at the Disney Store in Wisconsin Dells today and I asked the very nice women who was working there if the store was going to stay open and she said YES. Yea! She is always so friendly and has a smile on her face - it feels like you're at WDW with the nice CM's when you walk into the store. Anyway - I thought I would pass along that bit of news.

Yes, it's exit #92 for the Dells. Also, I was at the Rockford, IL mall this weekend and they are closing their store as well. But I got GREAT deals on the stuff they were selling off - everything was discounted. Got Tshirts for the family for our Sept trip at $4-6/shirt, sunglasses for $2 etc.

Unfortunately that store is closing as well. I only know this because I work at my local Disney Store and all of our sale merchandise is being sent over to their store for liquidation. Sorry to give you the bad news.

I would have to disagree about the safety of the area around Southridge. Yes, the mall needs a update but you should have no fears about safety while you're in the area.
I was just in the Southridge store and was encourged to see adult clothing and snowglobes. It's starting to look more like the store did years ago instead of a toy store.

ITA!! We shopped there about a month ago. My dd lives south in Oak Creek, and she told me how nice it is. A lot less crowded too.

I still don't get closing the Disney store at the Galleria while stores in Nowhere, USA are being kept open. If a Disney store can't succeed at the Galleria, I don't know how any of them can succeed.

That list isn't accurate. It has 5 out of 6 of the CT stores closing. Only 3 are closing (Manchester, Meriden, Waterford). So, I'd take it with a grain of salt.
