My brother's boss finally allowed my brother time off of work to join us on our family vacation down at Disneyworld last week. My mom decided to call and book the reservation as she had to call and make the final payment on her portion of the package we already had booked. (I was surprised they let her book it with our package as the original ressie was under my name, but they did).
We were chatting back and forth on MSN messanger while she was booking on the phone. The man came back on the phone and said that he was able to find us a room at Pop Century under the current special and could guarantee us connecting rooms as we had a small child going with us. He said the current deal was the best deal they've had all year. I told mom that wasn't true, the 7 nights for the price of 5 package we had booked ours under worked out to a better deal. I told her that it wouldn't hurt to ask him if we could book this new package under that deal as well, the worst he could do is say no. Well guess what!!!!! - he was able to give us the 7 for 5 deal on that ressie too! I was shocked. I'm not sure if it's because the two rooms were reserved under the same name, or because we were guaranteed connecting rooms that he could give us that deal, but we were estatic! We saved over $150 with that way!
I just thought that I'd share my good news, and to show that there's never a harm in asking, that they may be able to fulfill your request after all!
