My Disney Experience - Solution???

So, like many of you, I have struggled with the new website, My Disney Experience. Specifically, I could not bring it up on the App on my iPad. So, I finally figured out the solution for me. I had to link the DVC reservation from my PC, and now it appears on the IPad App. I have 5 more days before I can start making ADRs. I wonder if i will be able to use the App to make them, or have to go back on the PC. I'll post back in a week with my iPad, PC, and phone handy and see which one worked. It shouldn't be this complicated.

I'm just hoping that by the time I get to WDW in October, that I will be able to use the App. Is there any other way to access the FastPass+ stuff, like with the bracelet & RFID scanner?

You sound much more savvy than I am. Hope you have better luck with your reservations. I couldn't make any reservations online at the 180 mark and furthermore, I can't link them manually now that I made them via phone.

Pay no attention to me, am just having a horrible two days trying to make reservations for our trip and website is not cooperating. Best of luck to you!

There's no real guarantee that you'll be able to make the ADRs online, even if you have everything up and running. It hasn't been working well for many people, and many people have had to call instead of doing it online.

I book all of my ADRs online (using a PC though, not an iPad). There is nothing I want to book that requires me to reserve at 180 days +10 so I just wait until I am 180 days or less from my last day and do it all online. Actually, I usually book about 4 months out and manage to get everything I want.

For anyone looking to make upcoming ADRs in the 180 + 10 format, look on the dining thread and there is a link to way to get your resort reservation in and get the website to work for dining.

Not sure it if works for DVC reservations, but does for others.

Normally, I book them online and am successful and getting the ones I want, including ones like CRT before the park opens. I really want BoG on a specific day, and that has me worried. I am flexible about the time, so I'm hoping to get it. I'll probably call for that one, and try the online system for the others.

I agree. If I wanted to book BoG I would be trying at my earliest opportunity. Good luck, I hope you get your ADR!

I had everything linked up in my disney experience and at the 180 day mark i could only book adr for that 180 day, none of the plus days. I had to call, after 50 minute wait was hung up on. Called member services at 9 am and was fortunate to get the reservations I wanted.

Prepare to call and hopefully they won't hang up on you. Good luck.

I'm at 178 days today and can't even call to book Luau! I only got BOG after multiple calls and a very good CM and luck! Other reservations had incorrect phone number entered by CM but luckily was caught when attempting to enter reservations manually...which, of course, has not worked yet and am still trying.

It's a darn good think Disney World is a make believe world or I might get frustrated at this stuff

The app won't allow you to book anything where you need a credit card garantee. You need to use the WDW website for that. my disney experience website has allowed me to do all my dining with no real problems

Hey fellow DisDad - Here is what I did because we wanted BOG on a party night with a party of 5.
I used this link http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_GB/
on my PC and it worked like a charm. I got to to the computer at around 5:55 to make sure I was logged in and my reservation was linked properly. Lo and Behold I now have the exact BOG ressie I was looking for as well as all of the other ones AND they linked right up to the My Experience app.
Hope this helps. I would do it exactly like I described for BOG if I were you!

Thanks all. I tried the different ways, but could not get the site to recognize the +10. So, I had to call the old fashion way and was able to get BoG & CRT on the days I wanted. I'll try to link them up with the App, and I still need to add a few others.

I used the above link on my iPad and it worked perfectly. I am taking a cruise in the Dream 10/6 but arriving at AKL 10/2. I got a Ohana, Boma, Germany for before the cruise and a Be Our Guest for the day after the cruise.
