My DIS lingo is causing communication problems...

I'm currently putting together a tentative schedule and was explaining to him I wanted to go slow most days but I did plan to go commando a few days to get a lot of stuff done...

his response was "we're going commando? why can't we wear underwear to disney?"

I use alot of abbreviations. . .DH has to stop and think everytime I use one to try to figure out what the heck I'm talking about.

It keeps the marriage fresh . . .

I find myself referring to my daughters and husband as dear/disney daughter and dear/disney husband.

I find myself "seeing" the abbreviations everywhere I go and finding a bit of Disney in everything now. For example... There is a dumpster sitting outside my office building for construction debris that is labelled "DD 17". Every time I see it, I'm thinking "Dear Daughter 17". LOL. I work in computers and acronymns are thus a way of life for me, but this is getting ridiculous!

I called Disney Dining and said I needed to make a "PS" and she said "A what?". I said it without really thinking, but after I thought about it, I was kind of surprised that she didn't know what it was.

riggins, I had the same thing happen to me today. The CM then laughed and asked how much time I spend on the boards.
There's no way I'm confessing the actual number of hours I'm actually here.

I have found a lot of CMs don't know any of the acronyms. They may be instructed by Disney to use the full names.

We were checking in 02/00 and asked for a 5-day UMP and she looked at us funny.
