My dining choices and need help possibly fitting in one more.

Those attending: DH, DS (7), ME! 7 days on DDP Jan 14-21 urgh no appetizers and will pay extra for tip! We'll have a rental car. 2nd visit to Disney (1st was in 2005).

The Tentative TS Plans:
1/14 @ MGM - Dinner Sci-Fi (No ADR yet)
1/15 @ MK - Chef Mickey for Breakfast ADR 8:30
1/16 @ Epcot - Coral Reef ADR 6:30
1/17 @ AK - Grand Floridian Cafe (No ADR yet)
1/18 @ ???? maybe DTD - Reglan Road (No ADR yet)
1/19 @ Quest then MK for Spectro - 'Ohana 8:20
1/20 @ ???? One of the parks - Le Cellier 6:30

So a few things I could use some help on:
- On 1/14 we will be arriving (only 1 hr drive). I don't think we'll be in the park any earlier than 11:00. We want to stay and watch Fantasmic so I feel we need to eat at MGM. Nothing at MGM appeals to me. Did Mama Melrose last time, wasn't impressed. So I choose Sci-Fi only because I think my DS will like it. However, I'm wondering if we should just do CS OOP and not use TS credit.
- I'd really like to fit the new Italian (Tutto Italia) Restaurant into the mix somewhere. We all love Italian. Just not sure how to fit it in and I've already used my 7 TS credits (unless I cancel Sci-Fi). Also, we're already doing 2 Epcot Restaurants, not sure we should do a 3rd.
- Are there any Restaurants in my listing that you would drop in favor of the new Italian place?
- I have the 8:20 ADR @ 'Ohana and I just realized something..... we will miss viewing Wishes from 'Ohana. I thought wishes was at 9:00 but now I see it is at 8:00. We were planning on watching Spectro at 7:00 and heading directly to 'Ohana (taking either the monorial or boat). Now I'm wondering if I should change the reservation to 5:00 and eat before Spectro. We will have already seen Wishes, on 1/15 so it's no biggie to miss them. Not sure what to do as 5:00 is typically a really early dinner for us. Of course this way we would have more time to relax after Spectro.

You are going at a slow time so I don't think you "need" a Fantasmic dinner plan- Did you consider Yatch Club Grill or Cape May Buffet for dinner instead? It will take a little time out of your plans...but it might be worth it...OR do CS and do Tony's on the 15th when you are at MK

I would say change your ressie for O'Hana to 5:00 so that way you will get Spectro and fireworks in.

Have you ever eaten at Hollywood & Vine in MGM? The food is good and there are things on the buffet that the kids will eat. I think that the Sci-Fi diner is a cute place but frankly the food sucks with the exception of the
burger and shake. Also don't forget that these rest. have the Fantasmic dining exp. (is on dining plan) but you have to tell them that when you make the ps (this way you don't have to stand in a line to be seated for Fantasmic).

As for DTD, if you don't want to do Reglan Road you may want to consider going to Rainforest cafe (especially if you drop Sci-FI) as this is a cute kitchy kid friendly place.

Otherwise, you'll have a wonderful dining experience.

I should have mentioned 'Ohana is a must for us. The reason I'm hesitant to book at 5:00 is that is the time we went in 2005. I we just couldn't enjoy it as much because we were not hungry at that time. We would have to have a really early lunch to be hungry at 5:00

I thought about doing Hollywood & Vine but I'm not much of a buffet person...I eat way too much so I try to stay away. I also find the food is typically just average or below average.....maybe Hollywood and Vine's not that bad..... I'll think about it.
