My dilemma

Oh, and by the way, can anyone tell me where that lovely Irish eatery is in the Poly, you know, O'Hana's? Fits the theme perfectly.

Ugh, don't mention that place! I will never, ever, ever go there again. We went there on our last visit. First, I asked if we could sit by a window to see Illuminations, and they refused. Then, I told them it was DD's half birthday and requested that they do something special, but nothing happened. What happened to the magic that I pay good money for?

Wait, have you been to O'hana's? Do you think my family will like it there? I can't possibly make decisions on where to eat without consulting strangers on a message board.

Oh!!! I saw this thread, and it reminded me to post about the BEST costumes I saw at MNSSHP last week. Y'all will love this! I started a thread here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2808840 .

It made me wish I'd thought of that costume!

LOVE these shirts!

what happens with their rainbow poop??

They recycle it into lollipops!

I am going to save a lot of money by buying my WDW tickets on Craigslist! or maybe ebay, since the sellers there have great feedback. Maybe I'll also get some Fast Passes there too.

Lara - Didn't you post 6 years ago that you were having trouble coming up with the money to pay for the lobster dinner for your 19 month anniversary? If you can't afford food...you can't afford to go on this trip.

No, no, no. Did you miss her update post 3 yrs ago?

They moved into their neighbor's, uncle's, son's basement and started a lucrative business selling pirated stuff on ebay. With that and the money she gets from selling their food stamps, they've got it covered. She also got a really good deal on tickets off of Craigslist.

Besides, they HAVE to go. Their 3 yr old asked for the trip. That and with it being their 6yr 19mo anniversary, they really have no choice. KWIM?

I think you'll like it and I base that opinion on my intimate knowledge of you family which I never knew existed before opening this thread and will forget exists before the page reloads.

I will warn you though that you will have to be on the phone at midnight 180 days out to get a reservation but luckily everyone knows exactly when they will be hungry, where they will be when they are hungry, and what exactly they will have a taste for 6 months before the fact.

My 4'2" two year old wants that lollipop, NOW! It'll give him something to do while we wait on line. Some grumpy gus took his Nerf gun away from him and thru it into the Anteater enclosure!

It clearly says Do NOT Feed the Animals too!

Of course no one can plan a meal in advance. That's ridiculous. Why, I grocery shop every 4 hours because I never know what I'll feel like eating for my next meal. But I do like the TS restaurants, so what I do is make an ADR at every single one for every meal of my trip. I make them for different times, too - early lunch, late lunch, mid lunch, etc. That way I'll be prepared for whatever strikes my fancy at whatever time. I can't imagine the horror of knowing I have an 8:00 dinner reservation and not being able to figure out when I should eat lunch and snacks so I'll be hungry again at 8:00! :scared1:

Has anyone ever made a reservation at O'Hana's at the Poly? Do they serve water? in bottles? My dh has an allergy to tap water. And do they have air conditioning? He's allergic to eating in humidity, and frankly what it does to his hair....

Also, do you know if they will do a special Happy Anniversary note in the fish tank at the Coral Reef? with a Great White Shark holding the little diver holding the sign? My dh is a real shark lover and I'd be so disappointed if he couldn't see the diver dangling from shark's mouth holding the sign.

Parents, if you want to pull your kids out of school to go to Disney, let me know if you need a letter for the principal. I'll write it for you (for a small fee) so you don't have to hunt all over the internet looking for templates. And since you're paying me, it won't be plagerism. Because your kids can handle skipping school for a few days or even weeks since they are super smart. After all, family time is so very important. Of course, you can have family time at home any time or even at Disney in the summer, but who wants to go to Disney when it costs so much?

This is exactly why I unschool.

If my boys dress up as princesses for the week, do you think we could get one of those "front of the line" pass thingy's to make up for all of the mean comments that people will make to them?

Forget front of the line... APs for life! And your own apartment in the castle :thumbsup2

Anyone know if I can get poptarts in Florida? The blue ones with the blue frosting on them??

It's the only thing Sweepee will eat. I was going to start a toasterswap, but my sister said that all the rooms have irons so I'll just use that to warm them up. :)

Also, will my Service Hamster (Freddie) be able to go on the TOT with me? How about the Haunted Mansion? He hardly ever poops out side of his travel bungalo, so that won't be a problem.

Do you think they'd mind if I just fed him from the toppings bar? He doesn't eat much and is REALLY quick to pick out his food and stuffs it right into his cheeks, so he wouldn't hold up the line. I figured I could just pop him in the lettuce bin while I get on line for our food, that way he'd be ready to go when I was done on line.

Charge Cards BABY! If you use your neighbor's name, you get extras!:thumbsup2
For all you who think LaraK is joking in this thread.....I've been to WDW with her.....she is very serious! ;)
Pfft! Just because I'm a screamer.....

I just make an ADR at each place, then I go to whichever one I'd like.

If they try to stop you tell them you're going to complain...ON-LINE! Then demand and upgrade and a refund.

not to take this thread off course, but what is "unschool"......? Is it like homeschool?

Don't want to offend anyone but "unschooling" is educating your child by allowing them to dictate what is done (or not done). Home schooling but with fewer rules...I don't get it either..and again I don't mean to offend anyone!!!

Taken from Wikipedia....Unschooling is a range of educational philosophies and practices centered on allowing children to learn through their natural life experiences, including play, game play, household responsibilities, work experience, and social interaction, rather than through a more traditional school curriculum

You do know all 15 of you can cut in line at the bus stops and ride together since Bubba is in a wheelchair, right?

It's no surprise he is overweight seeing as he only eats preformed imitation meat products like hot dogs and chicken nuggets and hates all vegetables and fruits...you know...because of the texture. Oh, that's right, he eats potatoes and corn.

Love the bus idea! Thanks! I think with this big of a group going we will take turns with the park tickets and just let whoever is going take Bubba. I'm sure since we are all related our fingerprints will all be the same so we wouldn't need but a few sets of tickets. The oldest kid is seven and he's really small so he could still pass for two, you know.
