My DH wants to go back without kids!!!!!!!

We just returned from a wonderful stay at RPR! On Saturday afternoon, we let our DS and his best friend roam around IOA for a few hours. While they did that, DH and I roamed around City Walk, taking in the sights (and having some drinks). Then we went over to IOA and had a really nice late lunch at Confisco's alone. While walking around that afternoon, my DH looks at me and says "lets come back in the spring without the kids"......Wooo-Hoooo!!!!! I am already planning our return trip which looks like will be in March or April. My biggest dilemma right now is whether we should stay at RPR again or try HRH.....hmmmm! I don't think that he would care for Portafino.

I think that my husband has been spoiled by FOTL. That is all he keeps talking about. DH's best friend even called me at work to tell me that DH had nothing but good things to say about the trip and that he wants to go back!

He has Universal Fever!!!!!

Nice not having to beg to go back, isn't it? My parents and I go often because we all don't get tired of it and look forward to every trip.

That is great!! I am hoping for the same reaction from my DH. I didn't get it with Disney (although, he did admit he had an awesome time), but maybe this time I will! Wish me luck!

Yep, going without the kids is fun. Don't feel guilty. The wife and I visit parks alone because the kid has her horse and sleeps over at a friends house. I even take it one step farther and go alone, like I'm doing this weekend.
It is quite the time because you can go where ever you want, do the night life, and have a few drinks. The freedom of not having to drag around other people will spoil you. Plus you won't have to listen to them asking for drinks, souvineers, and crying about what ride to go on next.

Something to add would be a visit to Sea World Florida (SWF). The Key West area where you feed dolphins is really nice. They play Jimmy Buffet music, you can drink beer, and watching/feeding the dolphins is relaxing.

After this trip, you'll be spoiled.

I totally understand what you mean. We just got back and I am so sad to be back. We are already thinking about next year and starting to plan. We will take our son with us only because he had so much fun, but don't feel bad for going by yourself. Couples need time too!!!!

I have been trying to plan a trip for my husband and I alone to Universal for YEARS! My kids won't hear of it...I'm just a softie Hope you all enjoy and have fun

DH and I also went without the kids. It was a wonderful trip!

DH and I did it in 2001. We went to WDW, Sea World, and best of all HRH and Universal. We had a terrific time and hope to someday repeat it. I thought we would feel so guilty, but didn't happen.
