What a surprise, but justpassingby just registered today! Ironic that he/she signed up for a Disney discussion board and immediately went to a community board to discuss a thread about not liking children. Wouldn't you think that most people would first look at information about Disney?

How do you know they have not looked at Disney info here on the DIS as lurkers? Some people lurk for a long time and don't post until something strikes a chord.

Like Bob said...I'm getting overwhelmed with warm fuzzies here!

GG doesn't like kids. Good for her. Lots of other people do. Good for them.

What I don't understand is why anyone cares whether or not GG (or anyone else) doesn't like kids? Other than to make a note not to call her for babysitting, why is it even something anyone else would give a second thought to?

Perhaps there's history here that someone as recent to the boards as me is unaware of. It's just kinda confusing.

IceQueen, no one knew she hated kids back then. In fact, she was on the fence about having them if I recall, as indicated by a thread she started on that very subject. I respected her viewpoint then, as I do anyone who has decided to live a child free existence.

It wasn't until AFTER the fact that we realized she was a Villager who could never resist putting her two cents in on any discussion about children. For someone who hates kids so much, she sure likes to talk about them a lot.

My apologies to the masses, but then again, I never said I'm all about love. I just call 'em like I see 'em. I'm off to get my kiddos now, happy day all!

Actually, one can lurk without joining. I read the DIS for nearly a year before joining, then jumped right into things right away.

I still don't get this. Kids aren't adults. Sure, they'll get there someday, but until then, they're kids. Some people don't like hanging around kids. My aunt and uncle, for example - they're perfectly OK with hanging out with us as adults because we're adults now! (And yes, I've gotten them a drink of water.) I can guarantee that as an adult, I act much better than I did as a kid. It's part of that being an adult thing.

And, for the record, I do like kids, I do like cats, but I do NOT like spoiled brats and I will not hang out with friends that have one. Whether the brat be and adult OR child.
