My DD is one smart cookie!

I come out of my room from showering and getting ready for tomorrow and she tells me to look at what she did on the computer. (I'm a little nervous ) She discovered Powerpoint and made a slide show of the dogs...with music! She had pics, bullets and even effects. I didn't even know you could add music to them. I can honestly say that she blew me away with that one.

I know...isnt it funny when our kids can teach us about technology. I had DD teach me the basics of Power Point last year....

thats great. We do alot of powerpoint in my computer class. I really love it. You can also do custom animations for the text and pics.

My 4 (5 next week) year old DD already knows her way around the computer better than my mother does...lol...She's got her own login for XP, knows where all of her games are, gets into MSWord all the time to practice her letters and spelling, and can get onto the internet on Disney's site and find the games section. Freaked my mom out the first time DD asked to "play on the computer" when mom was visiting.

Suggestion for parents with precocious computer kids: get 'em onto "brain teaser" type sites that are designed for kids. Helps with their computer skills, as well as teaching them problem solving and such at the same time.

Same here (right down to the 5th birthday next week ) with my DS -- he had to show my mom how to work her computer. Heck, he helps his preschool teacher fix the computer.
