I am taking my daughter for a day trip to Disney. I have park hopper tickets so the restaurants can be anywhere but we will probably spend most of our time at Magic Kingdom. Where should I take her to eat? I am thinking counter service for lunch then sit down for dinner.

We enojoyed eating at Cinderella's Royal Table. It is in the castle and a lot of fun and an experience. Breakfast and lunch have other princesses with Cinderella, and the dinner has the fairy godmother and two of the mice. It is an experience everyone should do at least once.

some searches, and some guide books might help... there are menu sections on several websites about WDW. There is a range of meals and foods at WDW that she might like, or might not like.

Chef Mickey's
Cinderella's Royal Table
1900 Park Fare, Dinner here is with Cinderella , Prince Charming , Step Sisters and Step Mother Breakfast has Alice and the Mad Hatter most times
Akershus with the Princess
One of the Fantasmic package restaurants Hollywood & Vine , Mama Melrose or Brown Derby
Ohana Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch

Thanks for all the great suggestions. And thank you for the nice welcome :) My daughter will be 5 when we go (its for her birthday)

I would go with one of the following"

Cinderella's Royal Table
1900 Park Fare (Cindrella, Step Sisters, Step Mother, Prince Charming)
Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace

Have fun deciding!

I don't think CRT can be beat for a first trip birthday for a 5 year old. It is expensive, but a memory you won't soon forget. :wizard:

Did I read it right that this is just a day trip? If so, I wouldn't waste my time hopping around. Stay at MK and if you don't want CRT try something in MK or near by. Other favorite when my daughter was that age was Crystal Palace. We never did 1900, but that would also be an option since it is a quick monorail ride away.

Also, lunch might be nice if you are going to be in the park all day. We often did that to break up the day and get a bit of a break. Again, CP fit that bill perfectly. We then just had a CS dinner.

I want to affirm what christophfam said ... I'm afraid for a first-time visit, you're going to spend way too much time traveling from park to park and not enough time in the park itself. With a 5-year-old, you don't want to wear her out (forgive me if I sound like I'm doing the parenting for ya!!) - and the Magic Kingdom is going to have all the special stuff her heart desires. Plus, you've got that hefty charge for park hopping privileges, which seems kinda steep for just one day.

If she's a Pooh fan, the Crystal Palace is a clear winner. CRT would be a stellar, unforgettable experience. But if you want to hop a monorail, I'd go with 1900 Park Faire, which I much prefer to Chef Mickey's. I think a character meal is definitely the way to go.

Have fun planning! I wish I could see your daughter when she first lays eyes on the castle. Sweeeet!
